We are well travelled and found the hotel to be extremely good for a small hotel. The reception staff were very accommodating and helpful. At customer services is man called Zlatimir who helped us with everything we needed. An absolute gentleman. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean by Elena on a daily basis. The food was extremely well cooked and full of flavour although not as large a selection that you get in big hotels. Collection of crockery was very discreet and our man Kaman always had a ready smile. The marina bar left a lot to be desired with stale food and a surly barman called Jord who couldn't be bothered. The hotel generally is nice. Beach 5 mins away. The old town Nessebar is fabulous for shopping.

With location and rooms, this hotel could be a 4 star, but unfortunately let down by a few much needed changes. 1st, Marina Bar, a dark drab area, more like a drinking den in a back street, than a bright lounge for relaxing in. It's outside space, was a side alley covered by a green carpet, with tall drab walls on either side, no views. The only reason it had folk in it was the FREE drink. It needs closed down for refurbishing and brightening up. As it is now, there is only a limited area in lobby with a dozen seats to sit and relax in. If it was bad weather, you would be lucky to get a seat. 2nd, restaurant is lovely, but cuisine was repetitious and uninspiring. Sweet dishes were same every evening. cake and small pastries. I as a coeliac asked for something other than pastry, but only on last day was I given a small creme caramel?. Wouldn't you think a tray of caramel, or sweet rice, custard etc would be a change, instead of a single bowl? A change of chef is required to bring this hotel up to 4 star. Another no no was chipped and cracked cups and saucers, lots of folk complained about this to no avail. As it was all inclusive, the roof top bar area, which was 4 star stayed empty, because you had to pay for your drink. Another complaint we had as individuals, was Bulgarian theme night, cuisine and entertainment. The early diners when finished stayed in their seats, so we and others had no where to sit for our meal, so we ate out at other restaurants that evening. To summarise, we still enjoyed our holiday, as room and location was ideal, but bed and breakfast would be a better deal for this hotel. Sorry Sol Marina Palace, you are not 4 star in my book

*** Spent a fhoroughlly relaxing week at this fabulous Hotel and coulthisd not fault this establishment in any way at all . The food offered at breakfast , lunch & dinner time was good, varied, and best of all hot when chosen as a meal.. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. Our sea view room was very clean and modern in appearance.
This Hotel lies within a 15 min stroll to Old Nessebar which is a MUST visit town if quaintness, scenery , historic interest is your thing , its a photographers paradise.
I have no hesitation in giving this Hotel 100 percent value & satisfaction marks.
Special mention and thanks go out to Ivan , Katja , Elena & All.
********** THANK YOU FOR MY TOTALLY UNEXPECTED Birthday Surprise laid on by the Management....It was VERY MUCH appreciated !!!!!!!! **********

Not really sure where to start ...
Just got back from a one week all inclusive break at this hotel.
So il think I will start with the hotel its self .
Beautiful location .2 minutes walk to a small beach. 10 minutes to the larger beaches.
10 minutes walk in to the old town of Nessebar .
5 minutes to the main shops, restaurants and bars of the new town.
30 minutes by sea taxi to sunny beach .
The rooms are clean and quite big with nice size balconies.
Pool is small but ok for a quick dip which is located on the roof . It has 3 nice areas two sun bath and enjoy the 360 view the hotel has to offer.
The restaurant is located on the ground floor which all so has a sea view. You can eat in or outside. The food is well cooked and always had something for everyone.
The hotel has 3 bars .
Marina the only all inclusive bar
The sky bar on the roof .
The rock bar which is just out side the hotel . This the cheapest of the bars which you pay for .
So now it brings me to the all inclusive
Food at meal times spot on . Restaurant clean, staff lovely . It states that you can have snacks .. Most of time it was a few biscuits and dry cake . Ice cream is available. The snacks can be found in the marina bar . This area is not kept the cleanest .
Drinks are available for the marina bar from 10am-11pm every day . The lad behind the bar would rather play on his phone than clean the tables . He didn't smile very often and was very grumpy to a lot of quest . Which is a shame ,Cause when he did smile and talk he was a nice lad . A small range of cocktails are included. It's a really shame that the sky bar dose not offer even the basic all inclusive drink range . Has when ever we would go up there it was empty.
Around the pool is beer , water , juice and offer making facilities. The water and juice was empty a lot of the time. If you wanted coffee you had to have it in a thin plastic cup.
All inclusive ends on check out at 12 for your food .

The reason I have gave this hotel 4 stars is for the location, restaurants and how clean it was . If I was just going on all inclusive and the all inclusive bar it would have 2 stars .

Hotel is very clean and nice, i very enjoy the view from the sky bar.
Very near to beach, which was small but nice.
Only one thing about hotel which i found that was a bit not good, that in the sky bar even with the all inclusive option you need to pay for drink's, and I not really big fan of food there, but maybe it's just my personal thing.

Room Tip: best view on the town, corner room has the view on the sea side.

We went there for my birthday ( hotel didn't do anything on my birthday i.e. Petals on the bed ) 8th to 15th September hotel was very clean my advice eat out the food is not great there's no entertainment apart from Thursday where they have Bulgarian night lasts 45 minutes the chap who runs marina bar looks miserable never smiles always outside smoking with his mates this is all-inclusive bar people in the end just helped them selfs must be because it's coming to end of season your rooms are kept clean the staff friendly so polite this hotel could easily be a 5* plus if they sorted the food out first couple of days the food was good then they must of changed chef not very good and the lasagna was awful I didn't see anyone eat that loads and loads left on the plate's I swear the lady chef was putting that back you could see her coming from kitchen scraping it back on to hot plate lots of people saw that !! But apart from the it's a very good clean hotel go down old nesbar some really nice places to eat and cheap my advice when changing money the crown shops don't give you such a good rate go up a little into old nessbar get a much better rate the rep will say use the crown if you want lively sunny beach old nessbar is much quieter and relaxing.
