This was a really great hotel situated just outside SAN Pedro. A very good shuttle service is provided so getting into town is not a problem. The staff, food and rooms are excellent. There is so much to do and see in the fantastic Atacama region of Chile..

Room Tip: Get one near reception.

Driving from Calama’s airport to San Pedro, you start experiencing Since you enter the premises, you can feel a peaceful atmosphere. The front desk employees were very welcoming. We had a junior suite, with ample space, excellent bed, and pillows that guaranteed a restful sleep. They have bicycles for you to borrow, and from the hotel you can go around the town, or adventure a little farther into Pukara de Quitor, which has a great lookout to the Valley of Death. The breakfast has varied offerings, including espresso coffee, and A la Carte omelettes. At night, their restaurant Kunza becomes a place to delight your senses. However, the Wine List, is not ample, needs more options. The cuisine has a lot of local ingredients, true Chilean gastronomic recipes, and very well executed entrees. The spa is also phenomenal. Make sure you reserve at least 3-4 hours of your time to relax in the pools, the jacuzzis, and finish with a relaxing massage. Their attention is impeccable. Overall, I would rate the experience as excellent! Highly recommended!

Almost everything worked in this hotel. The check-in and doormen staff were particularly friendly and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. We were on the 6th floor. And the public lounge areas are wonderful! We had tea one afternoon on the indoor veranda and spent several hours in the evenings sinking down in their deep couches, some nights appreciating the roaring wood fire and the live entertainment. Located on the summit (hence the name) above the lake, it is a short walk down a pedestrian only path to the center of town.

First the really good stuff. The staff are charming and delightful. The hotel is really pretty. Our room was lovely and everywhere was very clean. We eat dinner once and it was good, if a little expensive.
The breakfast was dull and unimaginative. Reheated pastries, awful bread, eggs kept warm ( not result prepared) and the worst coffee in Chile.
It is a great example of awful management. Most of the tine there were insufficient staff everywhere. At breakfast there was typically one person(really struggling), the pool bar varied between 0-3 people, but a simple sandwich never took less than 45 mins. The main public area of the hotel has one male toilet. There was no means of drying your hands. There should have been small towels but they were never there. On two occasions, I drew this to staff attention, to no avail. On another occasion, the hotel shuttle bus decided to not collect us and another couple in town late at night. This was blamed on inexperienced staff. All in all a case of poor supervision and management. The hotel could be great but I would avoid until they get proper managers.
