Puritama is pretty close to almost everything. Its in a city. Room was adequately furnished, bed was not squeaky - I shared it with another guy from Holland. Considering that this is a desert - shower is warm and encouraging. I don't remember making international phone calls - poor signal. Owners could not speak English that much but proved helpful when asking for help on local issues - such shops, telephone shops etc. They dont serve meals.
They have a place to keep your valuables but you only get served during working hours - if you arrive late - you will have to keep your valuables till morning.

Room Tip: Rooms are very close to one another, but since we had matured considerate adults - not too much nois...

Hostal Puritama is a cute place with clean rooms, friendly staff and even parking is available.
Unfortunately, cooking is not allowed although there is a kitchen. There is almost not silverware in the kitchen and a random selection of dishes which makes it quite annoying to even prepare a simple breakfast.

Nice place to stay with comfy beds although bad wifi and only in courtyard. The reception staff was very rude but the cleaners etc were friendly although leaving our window wide open every day after servicing it! Very good location on Main Street.

I stayed here for 12 nights as a solo traveller in a double room with ensuite bathroom.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this to any travellers! The Hostal was very clean and staff were all very friendly (especially Sandra). The place was also quiet at night. Lastly, it's on the Main Street so very Central, but fortunately away from the main noise downtown.

The wifi can be a little bit rubbish at times, but when the staff reset the router the problems are resolved. The hot water can also be a bit temperamental but this is nothing of major concern.

There's a nice patio area, shared kitchen facilities and the place has a nice, warming atmosphere.

stayed here as part of the tour. Was decently near everything (on the street where all the tourists come gather). wifi was very spotty and for iphone users, it was not working at all. breakfast not provided. was in front of a restaurant with very good wifi.

staffs were pretty nice and attended to my requests as much as possible.

tour offered from the hostel felt overpriced but I can't tell if this is because my tour is taking a cut at it..

Specially after spending 3 days in the wilderness of Uyuni Salar, our arrival to San Pedro was a kind of ‘Welcome to civilization’. The climate was sunny and very pleasant, much warmer than we were experiencing the last few days in the Salar. So, the first thing we did was to get rid of heavy clothing and warm stockings. We were also happy that a variety of food and drinks was now available. San Pedro is a small town with relaxed atmosphere and small adobe buildings. Hostal Puritama
Is located at one of the ends of the town-centre. The hostel has small rooms but clean. There was water in all bathrooms. This was a one of drawbacks in many of the hostels in Bolivia. Puritama hostel owners were very supportive. They even let us prepare gril at the backside and to have our picnic patty. WiFi was available at the garden- You can watch surroundings of this hotel in my videos in YouTube by searching for the title: 'Pearls of South America: Peru, Bolivia & Chile, playlist' or 'Trip to South America: Peru, Bolivia & Chile, playlist'.

I stayed here in October 2015. I showed up in the morning without a booking and they were able to accommodate me for a very good price (negotiated) in a small room with a bunk bed. It was very comfortable and clean, but they did apologise for how small it was and offered to move me to a bigger room with a double bed the next day. The place itself was really comfortable. Tons of places to sit out and lots of showers and bathrooms to accommodate everyone. There was also a kitchen that was fairly well equipped. I needed to take an online exam while I was there and the internet was very reliable and quick enough and found the place perfect for studying quietly. All in all, I would highly recommend them for the friendly staff and comfortable environment.
