What a great find! Very close to the Homewood Suites I was tired from travel and it was late. It was within walking distance and what I have to call a "hidden gem". I had a Pimento Cheese, Bacon and Avocado Burger cooked to perfection and as ordered. I had it without the bun and it was as thick as most with a bun!
So good I brought my work guest there the next evening and they too were impressed and happy with their Grilled Rib-eye sandwiches. Excellent friendly service.

The food was really good, but the service was really slow. The restaurant was not that busy but it took 40 minutes to get a salad, hamburger/fries, 2 chicken finger baskets/no sides and a kids pasta. Staff was friendly.

A group of us ate lunch here after a golf outing at Oak Mountain State Park. At lunch time it is always crowded. Due to the crowds, parking was a bit of a problem. We got there about 1:00 and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Service was fast. As soon as we were seated, our drink orders were taken and within a few minutes we placed our lunch orders. Despite the large lunch crowd, our food arrived after a short wait. We each got something different from the menu and we each were well satisfied with the quality and the quantity of the food served there. You can get sandwiches, burgers, salads, and a meat and three combination at lunch. Due to the crowd, it was a bit noisy. Conversations were doable, but required us to speak a little bit louder than usual.

Ragtime has been around for quite a while. Although their regularly menu is ok with its burgers, sandwiches, & salads, what's really good is their daily specials like Grilled Grouper with crawfish étouffée or Amberjack with Shrimp Ragtime. Their fresh fish and steak dishes are ALWAYS good and with the price. These specials are usually in the $20-$40 range and come with two sides.

Had lunch with friend. Sat at bar. Great food, fast, accurate and attentive service. Lunch, during the week, is an early crowd (11:15 am-12:30 pm).
