We had a group dinner on first night at Dali and the food was delicious especially sweet sour chicken, spring roll and fried rice. Nice , cozy and intimate interior made this cafe special.

A small restaurant in the street where a lot of bars are located. Very comfortable relaxed atmosphere, the service is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is really tasty, lots of choices. Ate there several times while in Dali. Highly recommended

Clare's cafe has the best service. You almost do not have to wait for your food, because it comes so fast. They food is great, and if I may, you should definitely try the curry.

We came here initially because it was quiet and the other restaurants around were packed. We were not disappointed, the waitress spoke good English, the menu was in English and there were photos of the dishes.

We ordered curry, rice and chips which arrived sizzling hot although the curry was mild so ask if you want it spicy. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night and had spaghetti bologese (the best I've tasted), chicken curry fried rice and chips. Again tasty and hot. We ordered a chocolate cake both nights which takes 30 minutes as it is cooked fresh - worth it. All this plus coke came to 101 Yuen.

Don't be put off by the quietness of the place or the price it is the best food we've had since being in China (nearly 3 weeks now).
