OK, so the owner doesnt speak a bit of english. But the coffee is the best I've had in China. Not really a place to get an espresso either. The coffee is made with the Hario V60, which is similar to Chemex, and the best way to appreciate single origin coffees. There were a number of single origins available, including of course Yunnan but also Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, among others.
The owner takes care and time making the coffee, measuring the exact amount with scales, and only using filtered water. Attention to detail with coffee I haven't seen anywhere else in China.
The owner was exceptionally friendly, I also ordered the spicy dumplings (spicy won-tons on the menu), which I'm told are the best on the street. Not sure if they are the best on the street, as I didn't try dumplings anywhere else on the street, but they were damned good.
Highly recommended if you enjoy drip style coffee.
