We stumbled by accident onto this lovely restaurant in Hvar. The food was amazing with dishes such as chicken schnitzel to calamari en lovely grilled veg. The chocolate soufflé was beautifully presented and delicious.
Our waiter Kruno was so good!! We asked for house wine, and he suggested the house red - very good indeed. We enjoyed his humour as well.

we went for dinner here because we could not get a place at junior. must have been fate because we had one of the most memorable dinners we had in a while! we started with the dalmatian platter as a starter, mix of prosciutto and cheeses, very simple things, very high quality, we loved it so much! great local flavors! after that we followed the recommendation of the waiter and went for the seafood platter for two. was a dream come true, three kinds of high quality, delicious fish filets, sqiud and prawns. it was so much better than what we had before in hvar at various places. again simple, high quality ingredients used so well! even though full we went for the mixed deserts platter as well, two digestive on the house for each of us completed this dinner. what a great experience, cant wait to go back for more. setting very nice in a courtyard with green, very nice service, good, relaxed vibe.

Our day tour guide took us to his recommended but crowded restaurant for lunch, but I decided to skip that and look for my own from TripAdvisor. The restaurant is up some steps in a less crowded area, and I was served by the friendly stocky waiter who remembered my phone call. I sat indoors next to the al fresco garden but it was just as breezy; the rooftop wasn't open due to the occasional drizzle. The setting is very pleasant and relaxed. The clear beef soup was outstanding. They did a one-person mixed grilled seafood platter for me even though the normal order is for two persons. It was fresh and tasty though a tad salty (like most of the grilled seafood I had in Croatia). There was squid, scampi, whitefish, tuna steak and another type of fish fillet. The two types of local dry white wine I tried were both good. A great lunch for around 40 euros.

Although the setting is pretty , we found the food to be average .
The service was sporadic and slow and the bread served was stale . As for the food ,the vegetarian pasta was good but the seafood pasta was tasteless. The steak was also very under done and was not particularly tasty . My crumbed veal was tough. Also note that all mains have to have sides ordered separately so this pushes your meal price up again .
We didn't say for dessert .

We came here on our last night in Hvar after reading great reviews and were attracted by the setting which is really nice.
It's not so much that the food was bad it was more that it wasn't very exciting or amazing but was definitely very expensive.
We had the crab soup (which was actually unreal!!) and fish mousse to start and then followed with the cuttlefish risotto and grilled fish. Again both were tasty but the vegetables with the fish weren't great and had a weird flavour to them.
The setting and service was good too and wine prices were reasonable, I just feel there are way better places to eat (and our bill came to £120!!!!)
