If you are exploring the area, you would be silly to miss this. The hosts are wonderful, the rooms very good and the food was exception value and amazingly prepared. Whilst it says 3 stars, I would call it 4 stars ( as long as you don’t want to cook in your room- which you would never want to do given how good the food is).

My husband and I stayed here for a night while on our honeymoon. The hospitality at Pansion Breza is wonderful! It’s run by a family, so they are very welcoming. For dinner, each person chooses meat or fish. If one chooses meat and the other chooses fish, expect to have a huge platter with a whole fish and several different kinds of meat to be served- that’s after you’re served soup and salad. Dinner is finished with homemade dessert too. For breakfast they make sure you’ve had plenty of protein to get you through the morning of hiking at Plitvice Lakes. They’ll also give you extra plastic bags to make sandwiches with your leftovers.
Also, they’ll tell you what path to take in Plitvice Lakes so when you leave early in the morning, you can beat most of the crowd and get to the big waterfall first. They’ll even go get your tickets for you so you don’t need to wait in line or park along the highway.
We cannot say how amazing the staff at Pansion Breza is! We would definitely recommend staying here - hands down!

A lovely guesthouse, very good amenities and excellent dinner and breakfast. Very friendly and personable staff who were obliging even when we arrived quite late. Highly recommended - we loved our stay here but wished we had stayed longer!

Owner Miriam was expecting us for a late arrival at 9:00 PM. She was busy serving dinner to her guests in the dining room but immediately took care of us on a cold and rainy night. Did not get a chance to eat there since we were late but it looked like very large portions. She showed us to our room and asked us what time we wanted breakfast.
She would provide us with the park tickets that we requested at breakfast. We slept comfortably in a very well appointed and modern room. There was ample parking and the Pansion looked just like in the pictures very charming.

In the morning we were served a hearty breakfast of an omelet, meats, cheeses and breads enough to make sandwiches for lunch. Also coffee, juice, yogurt and extras. Then Miriam brought us some freshly made warm thai doughnuts which were delicious. There were plenty for leftovers for lunch. She also provided us with the park tickets. Upon checkout, we only stayed one night, she explained where to park at the nearby entrance (free), a 2-3 minute drive, from where after a 3 minute walk the boat crossed the big lower lake to the upper lakes. It was very convenient. Overall Pansion Breza, Miriam the owner and her employees provided us with a very enjoyable experience and I highly recommend the Pansion if you are driving. Try not to get there at night if possible.

Room Tip: Any room is good.

Miriam and her staff were so helpful and accommodating. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The room was just what we needed, very clean, comfy bed with a small balcony to enjoy the outdoors! We ate breakfast and dinner, both were very fresh and traditional food. We eat gluten-free and Miriam made us polenta with cheese for breakfast and then proceeded to pack us a box lunch of polenta, cheese and ham because she said we wouldn’t find gf in the park! Just incredibly thoughtful! We traveled for 2 months and she was by far the most gracious and lovely host!!!
