Maria is the best! She takes such great care of you and anticipates your needs. She gives good advice on what to do, how to get there, where to eat, etc.

At first I didn't think i would like the place because there is only one window and it is in the living room, but I quickly found that I did like it. It's super quiet at night and the room in the back has two fans and a private bath with a skylight. I was very pleasantly cool throughout the night.
My friend and I have stayed here twice now. The first time, we were in the middle bedroom together. Hot in there so steal the fan from the living room once the other guests have gone to bed and it's better.
Maria and her husband picked us up from that massive bus station and brought us to their house (for a small fee, but it was worth it). Just send them a picture of you on WhatsApp and they will walk right up to you at Entrance 1.

Great hosts! Will definitely recommend.

The Hostal is in a quiet location, which is almost impossible in Guayaquil.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, they offer pick up services too for less money than a taxi.
The rooms are small and simple, but clean. The Hostal is decorated with live.
Only negative thing is that there are no windows in the rooms, so it's really sticky. Also you can hear every word your neighbours are saying (but this is the case in most places).

Breakfast was great - individual according to our tastes.
