This is a beautiful restaurant built using antique materials. The food is delicious, and it is located next to the Park (parque historico). We went through the park, and had a delicious lunch at the end of our tour.

We ate at the hotel on a number of occasions as a couple, with friends, and with family. We'd go back any time we are in Guayaquil, as it would be very hard to get a better meal at a better price anywhere in Ecuador. The menu is not huge, but all the dishes we tried were delicious and ample. The veal shanks, osso buco, grilled shrimp, pork rib were all particularly noteworthy. If you are not overly hungry, members of our group were quite satisfied with one plate from the appetizer menu, including ceviches, tuna with crab, octopus, and more. The wait staff are all professional and fluent in English. The wine list is fairly short, but there are some excellent wines for quite reasonable prices. Personally, I can recommend the Kaiken Malbec as a great Argentinian wine at a very good price.

Visited this restaurant on a visit to Guayaquil. The place looks nice and traditional in front of the River, that part was nice and appealing.

Upon arrival the hostess did not have our reservation and gave us the excuse that when you make the reservation through the hotel sometimes they don’t get it.... well if you know that’s the problem then solve it please! Embarrassing !.
We were offered a choice of seat which was nice and hostess was polite and spoke clearly.

Menu sounds/reads so great but food actually is just average.

Every table around received bread and butter, only when I got up to ask why we did not get bread and butter then they served it (this was while main course was being served).

We were seating outdoors and there was barely any service then i had to get up to ask if I could spend some money in buying wine for my table, not only my table but all those tables were not paid attention too while inside it was full of service staff and barely any guests (Terrace was full)... where was the manager I wonder ? On a Friday night!

Cocktails and desserts were good.

I tried this place once, I’m not coming back and I would not recommend this place to anyone. Better places to go in the city with nice ambiance and either on the same range of price or cheaper.

Really a beautiful location, in an old colonial building near the river. But the food was not more than medium quality, and the service not so present. The price is ok.
