This is the real breakfast place. It is busy and the turn around is crazy. But you get a table really fast and the waiter we had was really helpful. He loved his job and with all this craziness going on, he found a way to make some smalltalk with everyone. Breakfast was good. I would say typical Ecuadorian, but a variety of choices. You don‘t have to wait long. It all moves pretty fast here. But still you got the peace to eat your food and people watch. It‘s a mixture of French Bistro meets basic Austrian Café, but with the staff it has an amazing charme that makes it totally unique. Go there and enjoy, it‘s the place to be, especially on a Sunday morning!

We loved it here, the people were lovely and helped a lot where our Spanish was not as good as it should be. Food was really good too. All in all, fantastic breakfast on our first day here.

Authentic café in the centre. As some of you probably noticed, the quality of ecuadorian coffee is extremely variable. But you are going to get a good one here under the old ventilators of La Palma.
The waiter (Felix?) was attentive and friendly. Nice café unless you try to avoid crowded places.

This bakery has been in the same location for 50 years and is a favorite with locals for breakfast (on the weekends especially). There are now numerous locations (like Urdesa), but this is the original and by far the most popular and authetic.

The oldest and most traditional coffee shop of Guayaquil,
The ONLY problem is that it is os famous that it is too crowded.
Normally it will take you to wait a bit
