Upon arriving in Otavalo I decided to "splurge" a bit after being in quite the social environment the past few days. I stumbled upon La Rosa and got my own room for the same price as a dorm in a backpacker's hostel. Great deal. The room itself had great lighting, it was clean, had my own bathroom, and overlooked the street out front. The person at the front desk, Frankie, was very nice. There is no kitchen or meal options at this place but there are many restaurants and food places around, even next door. This was a great place to unwind, relax, and have some solo time away from dorms.

Hostal La Rosa is a good hotel with very clean and spacious rooms. The staff is friendly and serviceminded and the manager speaks english. The hotel is located 200 meters from the saturday market and 400 meters from the bus station. I would really recommend this place.

Great installations, very cozy and spacious room. Very friendly staff and manager! Centrally located and great starting point to visit the city and surrounding attractions. Strongly recommended and would go back again.
