Great views of the bay and awesome sunsets!
The room was very clean and the staff was attentive and friendly.
Food and drinks were very good, fresh and up to date with newer menu items (the coconut shrimp was really good and the tuna dishes were delicious).
The owners and hotel manager were very attentive and accommodating.
The beach was clean and groomed every morning.
The hotel itself is comfortable and has a very beachy local vibe to it which sets it apart from some others near by. The owners have plans on renovating and making more improvements with their newly acquired property. If your looking for a 5 star mega resort this place isn’t for you. But if are looking for a clean, comfortable, well maintained and great beachfront view then this is your spot.
We were there to scuba and there are tons of local dive shops within steps of the Beach House (literally just out your door). The snorkeling and diving is first rate.

Now some bad...(sort of)
There was a fishing tournament that took place, as well as, a holiday for the locals the last couple of days of our vacation. The place (area) was nuts. Tons of people, tons of fishing boats and a heck of a lot of noise. The last couple of nights were pretty tough sleeping because the partying and very loud music that lasted all night and into the morning hours. Again, not horrible, just loud. The beach was crazy and littered with people and trash (which got picked up promptly in the mornings). The Beach House is next to a public beach so it was a main spot for the locals and the main hub of activity for this tournament, festival and weekend(s). So if you plan on attending in September, make sure this is something for you.
It was very cool to see the local vendors with their local favorite foods and culture. The locals make great food! We felt safe but did not wonder too far off the immediate main thorough fare. Shopping the island and local stores, bring cash because the taxes are pretty steep. On Roatan, cash is king.
We will definately come back!!

Thanks, Martin! We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at The Beach House. You are correct about the fishing tournament--it is the biggest in Latin America and The Beach House was ground zero in 2018. We hope that you can return and check out our improvements!

Best,

Karyn and Chuck

This was such a perfect hotel for our trip to Roatan. The rooms were very clean, crisp and peaceful. The bar/restaurant/breakfast area was out on a lovely deck and the food was very good. There is a nice little beach right out of your door and the happy hour on the dock was so nice too. It's also really close to some awesome dive shops. Great spot :)

The wife and I stayed in Suite H September 5 - 12 and were delighted with the choice. First floor is shaded and a room at the far end of the house made sitting on the deck cooler and semi-private. We loved the house, bay, its proximity to Sun Divers (next door) and especially the staff. Helen was always willing to accommodate our every need, Eloi, a waiter in the upstairs restaurant, such a nice young man, was always fun to visit with while sipping coffee in the morning. And, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Henry. A quiet man, was always watchful for who was on premises and made us feel quite secure leaving things out to dry. He also kept a tidy beach. This place also has a dedicated driver, Alex Guevara (alexguevara30@yahoo.es) who was always ready to take care of our travel needs, limited though they were. One of the only days we did not dive, Alex chauffeured us around the entire island. He is a wealth of information about its history, politics and folk tales. Be sure and have him take you to the Mayan Jungle. I don't know if we will ever make it back to Roatan, but we'd recommend the Beach House to anyone. Sun Divers, next door, was also a very good choice for our diving trips. Safety conscious, personable, dive masters were a pleasure to get to know and dive with.

Room tip: Pick Room H. You won't be disappointed.

This hotel is so cute & unique. It has a beachy, friendly vibe which was so much better than staying in a bigger or fancy resort. Location is perfect on a quiet beach with loads of nice bars & restaurants within walking distance & without the crowds of West Bay. The staff are lovely & very helpful. The food in the restaurant upstairs is really good too & great value. Will definitely be back!
