“Incredible setting and views”

This was quite a lovely place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ocean front rooms are preferable as they have a small deck and hammock overlooking the sea. The room could use more lighting. The infinity pool is salt water and emptied, cleaned and refilled several times per week. Breakfast was basic including fresh fruit, cereal, toast, bacon and eggs. Other items could be ordered for a low price. The room was cleaned daily, except for under the beds, which I noticed when looking for something that had fallen. The towels and linens are somewhat tattered but changed everyday. It was nice to be within walking distance of town in West End. Overall, a serene, beautiful place which we would certainly return to.

Room Tip: Second floor oceanfront rooms are essential for a pleasant stay.

Well, actually, I never stayed anywhere else, but I can't imagine that it gets any better. The rooms were clean, the food was excellent, and the staff was extremely accommodating. Great location too!

Lands' End is a lovely place to go to if you want to stay away from the hub bub of west end, and particularly west bay beach. You can snorkel from the entry at the front of the resort if the waves aren't very high, and you'll see lots of boats taking scuba divers and snorkelers right out in front of the hotel, so the waters there are great. From Lands End, it is a short walk to Half Moon Bay, and a water taxi to west bay beach if you so desire. They also make excellent recommendations as to other things to do on the island. The food is wonderful and the bar service can't be beat. The staff does everything possible to make you comfortable and fill your requests. I would not hesitate to recommend it. Kudos to Adi, Ava, Ryan, Barry, Mercedes and Elsa.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Toucan room. It had a wonderful view of the ocean and a very nice porch we could s...

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Land's End -- by the end of our 5 days here we truly felt like family! We already miss the crew: Adi, Ava, Ryan and Barry were all so good to us and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, as well as help us get to Utila when stormy seas derailed our planned catamaran trip. The pool is so relaxing, the rooms were comfortable (although beware the spiders, I get terrible bites during the night), the snorkeling off the deck was great (we saw a turtle our first afternoon!), etc. We enjoyed the included daily breakfast, and what a treat to feed the cute deer that live on the property! Most nights we had the bar to ourselves and were happy to hang out with Ryan, our patient and sweet bartender. I even did a dive with Ava, who is a great divemaster, at Tyll's. We can't wait to come back!!

Room Tip: It's worth it to stay in one of the waterfront rooms.

Flying into Roatan, we were in awe - palm trees, white sandy beaches and aqua blue water awaited us! Adi, the owner of Lands end, had arranged for us to be picked up at the airport. Our driver was there on time, with a sign greeting us.

We were driven to Lands End where we instantly fell in love with the laid back feel of the resort. Adi did a brief tour, showed us the bar, where they even have an "honor system" when the bar is closed and he then helped us carry our luggage to our room. The room our first night was not an ocean view, but had a king sized bed, very comfortable. We moved the next day to the Tucan, which was on the second floor with an ocean view. Beautiful to wake up to and amazing to fall asleep to the sounds of crashing waves.

Breakfast was out every morning from 7:30-10am. There were continental items, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, and coffee laid out. We could then order eggs and bacon, which were included in our room cost or something off the menu which would be more (waffles, etc.). We stuck with what was included as it was delicious!

Lands End wasn't fully booked while we there, so it was really peaceful. Monday night we checked out the live music at the bar - Adi, Cynthia and Konrad on the drums. They did cover songs for about 3 hours and the place was packed. It was beautiful to be sitting right by the ocean in an open air bar listening to live music! Incredible setting. Try their "Cariboo Lou" - its the bartender Ryan's special drink!

One our highlights was feeding the deer every morning at breakfast. These are THE most peaceful deer I have seen (we are from Alberta and see a lot of deer!). Adi has them trained so that they wait at the bottom of the stairs for you while you're eating. You can them hand feed them the leftover fruit rinds from your breakfast! So cool!

The pool was beautiful, small so definitely more for lounging in than swimming. We went snorkeling off the dock 4 or 5 times. Some great coral, but not quite as plentiful as we found West Bay to be. Worth checking out though.

There were safes in the rooms offered, but we just left everything locked up in our suitcases during the day (if we remembered!) and were never worried. The staff, Eva and some other helpers were all very friendly.

We loved the location - its about a 5-6 minute walk to the West End through lush jungle. From the resort to West Bay is about a 1 and half hour walk, which we did twice. Definitely do the walk, its neat seeing all the resorts and vacation homes along the way!

Adi also set us up with a great dive instructor, Konrad, who took us on 2 dives - great recommendation! All in all, a great place in a great location - GO!

Room Tip: Request the ocean front room - the one furthest from the main lodge area.

Where do I begin? From the moment we were picked up at the airport we knew we were in good hands! Eva was great she knows so much about the island and helped us get great reservations at a fun restaurant. Adi is an amazing host as well as musician. His hotel was so warm and welcoming with a great communal feel. Adi was so knowledgeable about who the reputable scuba instructors were and with whom we should take island tours. The bartenders know how to make a terrific drink and make you feel great! The night time entertainment at the resort is lively and I danced away all the stress from work. If you are looking for a terrific and fresh breakfast. Talk to Mercedes, she is an amazing cook. She makes the best "Desayuno tipico" I have ever tasted! There were times I didn't want to leave the hotel. I just wanted to hang out with all the cool guests, swim in the salt water pool and hang with Barry and Ryan at the bar. All in all a great vacation. Look out Lands End I will definitely be BACK!

Room Tip: Depending on the time of year you may or may not need AC. We had AC but the nights had a perfect bre...

I'm not sure why Lands End is classified as a B&B, as it has all the amenities of similar lodges/properties nearby BUT also has a bar and restaurant that also welcomes non-guests as well! And the Green Flash Bar lives up to it's name of the best sunsets and optimum viewing location for that natural phenomenon! This was our 2nd visit (1st was in 2008) and we returned for the great location, comfy rooms (wahoo and toucan), friendly service, fantastic ocean front room and Private balcony with hammock. Adi, the owner was readily available, and Eva and staff were great. Live music at the bar on Mondays was the place to be in West End, and the quietness during the rest of the week provided the perfect balance. We hope to return soon and see how the on-property, friendly, "feed me your breakfast fruit peel leftovers" deer are doing

Room Tip: We've always enjoyed the 2nd floor ocean front rooms, and I imagine the first floor units are eq...
