A most unappealing open-fronted shack manned by a very incompetent manager. He was unsure how many nights l was staying (booked through booking.com) and l felt most unwelcome. He pressed for full payment at the outset and continued to pester me every day.
The very steep and rough concrete steps leading up to the hotel entrance were very off-putting. However, once inside the corridor was clean as was my room. A nice room by indian standards but no room service or restaurant, purely a room.

Room Tip: Bring your earplugs. On busy, noisy road

We have stayed at this hotel for two night. The hotel is slightly far away from Bus station. We stayed at Delux room located at top floor. It was very nice street view from the balcony as it was at highest point. The hotel rooms are at different height as the hotel is carved out of the hillock. being the budget hotel, we were not expecting anything special but It was surprisingly good experience, as a room was clean and a double bed very comfortable, linen and towels were clean and fresh. Nice quiet location and staff was very friendly. One of the most important point that being at height we were getting first rays of the sun in the morning when there was chilly cold outside in Oct. The hotel do not have any catering facility, however food can be arranged from nearby places.

I stayed here because for 2 nights , the whole place felt very chilled out and if you left the place for a few hours without locking your door , it would feel safe enough. Very comfortable beds and nicely decorated. John the manager was very friendly and happy , the staff there were also very friendly. They all tried their best when I couldn't find a way to leave munnar when I had to go and I found out how to because of them. They also got me a bike rental and gave me directions and where to go. The kitchen was clean and john would order in food whenever you wanted it. Thankyou for a pleasant stay in Munnar!
