The room was beautiful, very clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. The location is great, just in front of the historic city; from the pool you can see some nice temples. The staff is very kind and efficient. Highly recommended!

Room tip: Our room was next to the pool. Very calm and very convenient.

Me and my mates stayed here a few weeks ago. We were winding up an Adventure Motorcycle trip and Ayutthaya was one of our last cities. The majority of the group said this was an easy vote for the best hotel we had stayed in on our trip (75 or so different hotels). Again, a "Boutique" hotel, so popular in Asia these days. The rooms were spectacular. Very large and very very well appointed. A mix of traditional and modern Thai, accompanied by some modern chic furnishings. I think I was treated but my room was HUGE. You could have lived in it. The furnishings were extremely tasteful and instantly made you fell totally comfortable and relaxed. The staff was great. Very friendly (in a genuine kind of way) and accommodating. There is a small restaurant there and a kind of a bar (just had a beer myself). It is across the river from a temple complex. Fantastic views. Also beside a park. Additionally there is a pool. Really this place felt like your favorite chair. You sit down and a smile comes on your face. You can eat at the restaurant there or walk to a few of the local restaurants. That's what we did. Parking is there but a bit cramped. The hotel is not big so shouldn't pose to much of an issue, especially those coming from foreign lands (not driving). Ayutthaya is not big so everything in the city is fairly accessible from here.

If you are staying in Ayutthaya you really should consider this hotel. I was not surprised by the high ratings it got from most other reviewers.

iuDia is an exceptional hotel. We stayed 1 night prior to a week at the Elephant kraal. This is a very comfortable small hotel. Our room was more like an apartment and very reasonably priced. Luxury. Very modern, pleasant, comfortable self contained room with great private outlook over the river. River was very high when we were there in wet season and the Mosquitos were very active on the deck in the evening. Staff were fantastic with advice about where to eat, what to see and arranging transport. Not really walking distance to attractions but staff organised a very cheap and punctual tuk tuk to get us around. No dinner available in hotel - they do breakfast and basic light meals but need to go elsewhere for dinner. Staff were able suggest good dinner options. Ayutthaya is an interesting and relatively quiet place to visit (compared to Bangkok) and about 1 hour from Bangkok airport. And we recommend iuDia as an excellent hotel.

We stayed here for one night and just loved this small but beautiful hotel. It was quirky, modern and extremely clean. Staff were amazing, very helpful booking transport and local trip/restaurants. Pool area was lovely and well maintained. Security at night made us feel very safe :). Breakfast amazing - we will stay here again.

Room tip: Room closest to the river has the best views

We had a short stay in Ayutthaya, so we only spent 1 night at this lovely hotel. We had an upstairs room with windows facing the walkway/balcony overlooking the cozy courtyard. The room was spacious, comfortable and very nicely decorated. We loved the high ceilings. The bathroom was also quite large and attractively decorated. The only negative was that the shower water temperature fluctuated, occasionally running cold. Wifi worked well. The beds were very comfortable.
The staff was friendly and efficient. We had a guide already scheduled through our travel agent, so we did not have to request much information about the area from the hotel staff, but they were helpful mailing postcards for us, as well as changing large bills.
Breakfast was in the attached coffee shop. They offered western or Thai, which was served, not buffet, and quite good. Also enjoyed evening coffee and dessert there as well. We walked to an interesting restaurant nearby ( on the river), Blue River, for dinner that evening.
Overall, a very nice experience. Sorry our stay was so short!
