This place was really great. A very welcoming staff and I was in a partial ocean view bungalow (ask for M1 or M2 if available) which was RIGHT across from the water. Such a relaxed beach during the day and only a short "jungle walk" if you want to get to the restaurants and clubs in town. Or of course you can take a longtail for next to nothing.
Rooms were cleaned daily by a very efficient crew. Be sure to book a half day trip to Maya Bay with them at the front desk. It's the same price as in town (500baht) but they include a longtail that picks you up and drops you off at the resort. The free breakfast was decent enough but I really enjoyed their other items for dinner. Learn to say please and thank you in Thai as the servers really like that.

I am so glad that we made the decision to stay in Long Beach rather than Tonsai. It's the prettiest, most pristine location in Phi Phi. Phi Phi center is pretty bustling, if you want to be close to bars and clubs. The beaches on the mainland are pretty crowded, and the views are marred by the constant noise of boats and ferries. Long Beach is the place to stay if you want to step out of your bungalow and on to the sand. You can walk straight from your room to the beach, and on a clear day, you can even see fish from the shore.

The room is a little dated, so you shouldn't stay here if you're looking for a spa/resort experience. But if you want a place to be your home base while you go island hopping, it has A/C, hot water, fast internet, comfortable bed, and a surprising number of cable TV channels. Their cleaning service is always ridiculously fast -- every time we'd leave the room for breakfast, we'd come back to a freshly made bed and bathroom. The breakfast that is included in the price seems very generous -- you get coffee/tea, juice, fruit, and a set menu option. I honestly loved having a seaside, open air breakfast every morning - the water is the purest turquoise, and there is a clear view of Phi Phi Ley on the horizon.

As far as location goes, Long Beach does seem to be one of the better beaches with fewer people. The hotel is also very close to the panoramic viewpoint, if you wanted to hike there. The walk to Phi Phi center is very well-marked. It's not strenuous, but it does involve climbing some steps and passing through some of the other resorts. We didn't find the walk inconvenient, but we did take long tails back at night when it was dark.

We were a little nervous about staying here based on some of the reviews, but we did not have any negative experiences with the staff. When we got off the ferry, there was somebody with a sign that carried our stuff to the complimentary longtail. The reception staff that checked us in and out spoke very good English. We did experience some issues with the A/C, but they sent over somebody to fix it right away.

This isn't a 5-star resort, but if all you want is a cheap beachview hotel, this place is a great value.

Room Tip: Not all of the bungalows have ocean views, but they are all on the sand

We had to change plans at the last minute and ended up coming to Koh Phi Phi Don instead and we are so glad we did! What a magical place! We were greated on the jetty and taken by longtail to long beach which made for a fantastic arrival! Reception staff were nice and a man took our bag to our room. The room I'm pretty sure hadn't been updated for a long time and our bedding was stained. The towels were old but the room was large and had everything we needed. We stayed 2 nights and the beach was absolute magic! We hired a snorkel for 50 baht and taught our 4 year old how to snorkel. It rained alot while we were here and there are plenty of mosquitoes. The resturaunt had ok food we ate there both nights and we walked to town twice, there are two lovely spots to stop for a swim on the way. The breakfast is as sufficient. The staff are not overly friendly but some were quite nice. I think they are bored but I wouldnt say they are rude like some reviews. I liked dining under the lights pretty much on the beach! If we were to go back again I would definitely pick somewhere on Long beach again as it is definitely paradise!

My girlfriend and I are kind of confused about how this place only has 3.5 stars... We both had our expectations exceeded beyond our wildest dreams! Our room (standard/not beachfront) was literally a 10 second walk to the sand. It was spacious and clean with functional A/C and Wifi. The restaurant was perfect for us. Not overpriced by any means, and great food every time we ate there. Also... IT IS ON THE SAND, so the location is terrific. They have an ATM conveniently stationed right outside reception, and a mini mart for snacks, medicine, beer, etc. Staff was super friendly and nice. We were SOOOO happy to be staying on Long Beach as it is quiet and only a 10 minute water taxi ride away from Tonsai. We never had any issues getting a taxi there or back (100 baht/person during the day and 150 baht/person @ night). It was a really romantic and relaxing experience for us. Only concern was that our bed was a little bit on the "springy" side of things. That being said, we both slept fine on it and woke up feeling well rested the next day.

We came to have lunch and the staff was really bad and rude, all of them, like they preferred you just go away and leave them alone. The food wasn't also really good and quite expensive. Find another place!

My partner and I stay in one of the beachfront bungalow for 4 nights.
It was sensational, they are spacious and well kept with an absolutely stunning view.
If your a 5 star traveller this maybe not for you but this is all about your surroundings.
Walk out your door for a swim and be greeted by tropical fish all around you.
The bush walk (roughly 25 mins) into the main restaurant area could be a challenge if your not very mobile but it's all part of the adventure.
You can always catch a water taxi back into the restaurants.
If we were ever going back to Phi Phi, this would definitely be where we would stay.
