Great location with a small beach and coral reef. Excellent snorkel trip with the most beatiful sites for coral reef and variety of fishes. What a shame the bungalows (dirty and not so carefull) and normal restaurant...
We recomended it but with another extra location in Phi Phi or Phuket to spend your holidays.

A nice hotel in the best location on the island. They pick you up at the pier. The room are nice and they all have balcony. The view is nice.
The service is not perfect but it is not a 5 stars hotel!
I would recommend this hotel, especially for the location wich is perfect. Long beach is beautiful with a beautiful view on Koh Phi Phi Le.
But two things could be improved : the reggae bar next door is sometimes very noisy at night (it stops around midnight), and the breakfast buffet is sometimes cold.
I would stay there again If I come back.
There is a very good and cheap restaurant up the hill (phi phi hill resort).
They have great massages.

This hotel offers decent, no-frills accommodation in a quieter part of Koh Phi Phi Don.

This is one of those resorts that you see from the water - rows of gleaming huts on stilts nestled in the trees above the beach - and think "Gee, love to stay THERE!". The accommodation is decent if basic but ticked all the necessary boxes for me - a good price, decent air conditioning in this hot weather, and nice and quiet at night.

Be aware that Koh Phi Phi Don has several accommodation areas and this is at Long Beach, about 2km from the main town of Ton Sai. Best way to get between the two is a longtail boat at a cost of 100 Baht/person (min 200 baht and more at night). You can also walk along the beach, with sections of track bypassing a scramble around rocky headlands. As town can get pretty loud and hectic, the separation is a benefit, but the place is still close enough for you to have ready access. The vibe around Long Beach is less backpacker-ish and clientele seemed to comprise older couples, families and the occasional mid-20s couple.

Note that the "King size" beds advertised are actually two singles pushed together. We had a twin room, but rather than separate the two singles they added an extra trundle bed which was a bit firm and basic but was OK.

This is a great place for snorkelling, with a small section of beach roped off featuring a few fish, but a short swim offshore is a rocky reef popular with commercial operations that you can easily reach (so long as you look out for boats while getting there). The beach has wonderful views across to the western side of the island, and the distant Koh Phi Phi Ley.

Yes, we did get a lizard and occasional wildlife sneaking into the room but that's part of the charm of a tropical island, right? No, despite facing west we didn't have a great view because of trees in the way, but would you want them chopped down? Yes, they play music at night at the beachside bar (and put on a fire show) but I could barely hear it from my low-level bungalow. The room was not perfect with a few minor gripes (safe passcode had not been reset; hole in plug in bathroom) but for budget accommodation you can't beat the location.

We stayed in a deluxe seaview and luckily we were room number 1 so never had a trek up the hill or have the need for the golf cart! The view was great, the beach was nice, not the quietest but on Phi Phi what do you expect? It was the perfect location if you want to be away from the main party town area and only a short boat ride if you want to join in the festivities (5 minutes and 100baht/person). I agree that the noise from the bar might be annoying if you're trying to get an early night but it never went on any later than midnight when we were there and we were generally up at that time anyway. The breakfast was good, eggs your way made to order, lots of fruit, continental, american and thai breakfasts also. Added bonus was being able to swim with sharks just in the reefs outside the hotel, very fun once you get over the initial fear! If you like a good pool then the pictures are a little misleading, it's quite small but it was clean and I only ever saw 2 people use it so you're likely to have it to yourself. Overall we had a lovely time, staff were attentive, food was good, room was lovely with a great view and massive balcony area. Would recommend.

my daughter and I stayed at this property for 4 nights in mid-January 2012. it was a lovely respite from a hectic trip. we had a bungalow on the very top tier, almost the last one. the view was wonderful. very comfy. i agree that the walk to the top row of bungalows can be demanding, however we never found it to be too difficult. the staff will take you up in the golf cart - you just need to ask. they were always pleasant and accommodating.
BTW, the hotel offers free shuttle service at certain times of day. they also picked us up from the ferry dock and returned us to the dock for departure. at the time of our stay, the hotel did accept payment by credit card (we booked through booking.com).
food was very good. breakfast included. there are several dining/drinking options within a short walk along the beach. i've seen other posts describing the beach as 'too busy': we found the passing boats of interest. if you are looking for total seclusion, then this is not your spot. if you are looking for something away from town, but a short boat ride away, then this is a wonderful option. the view is truly remarkable.
i have also seen posts about the noise from the beach bar. on 1 of the 4 nights during our stay, there was very loud music (primarily due to the bass in the mix). i called the desk at 10:30PM to inquire as to the closing time of the bar. the clerk was very nice and said that others had complained that evening. she said she would address the situation. within a few minutes, the bass had been reduced substantially. the music became a nice background of beach life from a distance.
we dove for 2 days using the dive shop on premises: Black Tip Scuba. everyone was wonderful. it was a special experience for my daughter, since she had been certified especially for this trip. these dives were her first true open water experience. please note that this shop does not use the big motor vessels that accommodate large groups. we dove off a long-tail boat with a group of 4 total, who were of similar experience. loved it. i would definitely recommend it if you wish to dive near the hotel. you must use a dive shop in town to go to more remote sites.

Room Tip: the views are wonderful from the top, but you must either walk up or ask the staff to take you in th...

Phi Phi The Beach has positives and negatives. Definitely a good place to relax, unwind and forget the world. Location was beautiful with much better swimming areas than the main beach. Hotel gave free long boat transfers to/from ferry pier but any other time 100baht/pp to take a taxi long boat around to the main area. Only one restaurant on the entire beach, quite good food (don't order the chicken cordon blure, it is not what the menu states). Wifi only free in lobby area and 90baht for 20mins if you want it in your room. Shower never got past warm. King bed was two singles pushed together but still quite comfortable. Rooms have a bungalow/cabin feel about them all with their own balcony. Very nice set up. Definitely recommend the Arisa Speed Boat & Snorkelling full day tour, best time we had and for only $40AUD/pp.

We booked 5 days at Phi Phi The Beach and extended our stay for another 2 days. Given the long haul to reach Phi Phi from Phuket I recommend a week there. The accommodations are well placed individual teak bungalows set up a hillside overlooking the Andaman Sea. We stayed in a “Deluxe Seaview”. These are the larger bungalows that have sweeping views and offer plenty of space for the extra bed we needed. They are outfitted with all the amenities: king size comfortable bed, nice white linens, good AC, large bathroom, a fantastic protected and private huge open air shower, refrigerator, safe, in-room coffee/tea, clean towels daily, nice toiletries. The small beach in front of the hotel is clean and chairs and umbrellas are provided. The water is gorgeous and warm. The restaurant area is by the beach with sturdy tables and chairs in the sand. The breakfast, which is included, is generous and varied. Lots of fresh fruit, salad, fresh baked breads, yogurt, eggs to order, meats, and Asian hot foods as well. The hotel restaurant is open for lunch and dinner but the other meals were only average and we often ended up eating dinner at Paradise Pearl, a short walk down the beach. Also it is worth going into Ton Sai Bay at least once for dinner at a lovely French restaurant called Le Grande Bleu. You can walk the 2 kms into town along a beach/woodland path before sunset and take a long tail boat back. We often went into Ton Sai for lunch and the exercise of the walk both ways. The town is very crowded and honky-tonk but has some nice lunch places such as Unni’s or Ana’s. Right at the hotel is a terrific scuba outfit, Black Fin Scuba, and long tail boat day or half day trips for snorkeling.
One caveat: Getting to Phi Phi is not a straightforward or quick business: from Phuket airport it is close to an hour minivan ride (200 baht/pp) to Rassada Pier to catch the ferry to Phi Phi. The last ferry (300 baht pp) from Rassada leaves at 2:30 PM. Then it is a 2 hr ferry ride to TonSai Bay where you must take a long tail boat taxi (100 baht pp) (no vehicles on Phi Phi) which is a quick 15 min ride direct to the hotel. So even if you make that last ferry it will take about 4 hours after you land to reach Phi Phi. The hotel offered us a direct speed boat service at a cost of $100 per person, which we declined. We found our way via taxi and a private boat service which ended up costing about $75 pp versus the $20 pp it costs if you do the minivan/ferry. The hotel does not inform you of this, nor did any of the guide books or web sites

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe seaview bungalows number 2201 has the best view of all but any of the 2200s are sp...
