The bathroon are terrible. The shower is no better than a hose, you can't flush and there are some bugs walking around.
Not good for more than one night..
The beach is beautiful and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The rooms are quite big but the bed is hard as a rock.
The staff was nice.

Me and my family stayed there for 3 nights. Reception was good. When we got our rooms there was a bad smell in one of the toilets. It's not allowed to flush toiletpaper here. We complained and got instant help.
We had rooms by the pool, don't take those unless you can stand the noise and kids jumpilng from your "veranda".
Breakfast was not the best. I think they're really trying to make a good "western" breakfast but they don't really get it right.
Staff was helpful but kind of indifferent
The price was ok but I think there are better hotels for the same money.

Stayed here for two nights with friends during our month long trip. The hotel grounds were beautiful, the pool was clean (and warm), staff were friendly and helpful and location is great! The reception/restaurant (we booked with free breakfast which was delicious and very filling!) are on the beach while the rooms are on the other side of the little dirt road ( 30 seconds walk from the beach).

The room was spacious and clean, with a small fridge in it. The bathroom was very outdated, but the rest of the room was nice, beds were comfortable and always felt safe.

The hotel restaurant had good food, and the beach is beautiful (we went snorkeling off the beach and saw many colorful fishes, also got to enjoy nice sunsets).

YOU CAN WALK FROM THE FERRY TO THE HOTEL! It's less than 5 mins, not worth bothering to bargain for a taxi!! Just turn right when you get off the ferry and walk down the road/turned dirt road.

Blue diamond is a lovely little family run resort and my wife and I had a great 2 nights here.
When we arrived our first room did have ants running about the place - but this is quite common for where abouts you are staying in Thailand. We did however request to move and the hotel moved us to a bigger and better room at no additional charge. We also cut our stay here shorter by 1 day which also we were not charged for.
The staff were very pleasant and made good conversation with us and nothing was too much trouble.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to others coming to Koh Tao

There are quite a few hotels on Koh Tao with a lot more to offer and better prices so I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The location is great though, very close to one of the piers.
They do have a beach but it's very small. All actual hotel rooms and bungalows are located across a street that divides the beach from the rest of the hotel.
The rooms were OK but nothing fancy.
The staff was - for the most part - quite unfriendly and in a bad mood.
Like I said in the beginning, go someplace else and enjoy Koh Tao how it's meant to be.
