My cousin and I stayed at Tabeak Viewpoint bungalows in January this year. Although the accomodation is basic, it is clean and extremely good value for money. I also can't stress enough how welcoming and friendly the owners are. They were extremely helpful to us when it came to planning the travel for the next phase of our holiday. The accomodation is a short walk from a two lovely beaches, the closest of which has a number of massage places and restaurants to choose from for things to do in the day/ evening. We also hired a canoe for a day and visited a nearby uninhabited island, which was a fantastic day out. What I will remember most about our stay at Tabeak is getting up every morning to watch the sunrise - it was absolutely breathtaking. Would highly recommend!

Tabeak is the only place to stay on Koh Yao Noi. Pramot is the local policeman of the island and he knows everyone. He will hook you up with anything that you need including scuba diving (his nephew is a fully certified instructor and will take you for a reasonable price), a longtail boat (his fisherman friend took us for a great price), and even transportation (he taught be how to ride a scooter). Kazuyo, his wife, is a great cook and handles the business end of the bungalow with ease. We stayed in the sole AC bungalow for 9 nights and it was definitely a great stay. The views that you wake-up to are amazing. That coupled with the hospitality of Pramot and Kazuyo make Tabeak Viewpoint one of the top places to stay in Thailand.

Room tip: Get the AC room. At double the price it's worth it to cool down during the high season.

We have travelled to Tabeak viewpoint Bungalows this December. The location is just perfect. close to the beach ( but be careful to the tides as you can't always swim depending on them) and shops and with the most amazing view I had ever seen on the beach and rocks of Thailand. The owner and the wife are so kind and courteous that you really feel at home. Different times we have watched together the moon rising from the restaurant on the top with them and it is just amazing! The food is good and they organise boat tours to Koh Phi Phi and the islands in front and we have been very happy to do it. It is a very quite island, so don't expect partys or crazy life. It is an ideal location to relax and enjoy Thailand and its scenary.

Room tip: we had decided to take a boungalow with no hot water but actually I would had be grateful to have hot water sometimes. up to you!

I can't begin to explain how much we loved staying here. The owners definitely make it what it is! They are very humble and caring people and always willing to lend a helping hand. They are very involved in the community, chatty and willing to do whatever for a traveller to have a really wonderful experience. The views are stunning! There are only 8 bungalows here, they are well looked after and equipped the owners have opted for quality and not quantity giving the place a real homely feel. If you stay here you will definitely have a lovely time.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and three years on it still doesn't disappoint! Owners are helpful and welcoming every time we saw them - which was everyday at breakfast. We stayed in bungalow No 8 for 10 days which was perfect, great views and a hot water shower (which isn't really necessary). We hired a scooter from Tabeak and cruised the island, which still retains its chilled out feel. We booked direct with them and Kazuyo was very helpful with island info and ferry times from Phuket. You just can't beat that view of the Hong Islands from your terrace - paradise ! Would I visit again? Definitely !
