The hotel and rooms are clean. We decided to took a bigger room but for one night would be fine also the smallest room.

Food street tour is must in this hotel. Guide is very friendly and will show you local pubs. Highly recommend for you!

Next day we took a delta Mekong tour and everything was as agreed.

The roof terrace is a lovely place to relax and the tours booked at the desk can't be beat! Location is a bit out of the main tourist way, but gives you a good opportunity to see real city life in Vietnam and practice crossing busy roads!

Free water in the lobby is a major plus and the rooms, while tiny, are just fine for sleeping.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews, and the reputation of the tours and were not disappointed. For $20/night we got a good sized room, very clean, separate private bathroom, with super hot, strong shower water - always a welcome surprise in a budget hotel. They were kind enough to chill our bubbles for evening drinks on the rooftop bar. The room was quiet, we slept well. We did the extra long 2-floating market tour which was great, our guide and boat driver were so welcoming and full of great knowledge. On our way to the boat at the very early hour of 5:30am, the hotel reception guy flagged us down at the dock to hand us breakfast because we were going to miss that morning breakfast - so cool. While the hotel breakfast is toast and jam, best thing is to go out on the street and get one of the street food vendors to make you up two fried eggs in a baguette - delish! And top it off with a slow drip coffee at one of the many hole in the wall local stops... while the hotel is a bit of a hike from the river, it was fun to explore the local streets and restaurants in the neighborhood. Great value for the money here - and very, very clean!

Room tip: go for the upgrade to the slightly larger room - the smallest is very, very tiny.

We had a tiny budget room, small but ensuite. Good value. They have a good location 5 minutes from the city centre. The staff is helpfull, and speak good English. The best reason to stay here is that they offer Street food tours (starting 6:30 sharp) for only 5 dollar per person (excluding the food) and a very cheap but good value tour for both the floating markets (45 dollar per boat for 4 people, 15 dollar extra for English speaking guide). If you planned to do a tour via Hieu's tour, don't hesitate but do it via Xoai hotel as it is much cheaper and almost the same quality! The free bikes that the hotel offers were not functioning at the moment we visited, however, good (mountain) bikes are available at Kim Lan hotel for 50.000 dong per day. The breakfast they offer is very basic and not to look out for, but on the other hand the room rates are a bargain.

We booked after reading about it in Lonely Planet and got a deluxe double room. This room type is great, you get use of a PC which we found essential for backing up our photos and booking tours, checking maps. The breakfast isn't great, just some toast, jam & tea but there are plenty of cafe options nearby. The hotel gives you a map of recommended places.Try the adjacent street Nguyễn Việt Hồng for Zest Cafe etc. Reception staff are very helpful and the big advantage is the tours which meet up in the foyer. We tried to floating market & street food tours which were excellent. Well recommend this hotel, the room was well laid out with a good sized bathroom and storage space. The terrace has great views of the city and street although remember to put on mozzie repellant. Well recommend Hotel Xoai!
