We spent the last two days with Susan. From the moment we stepped off the bus, till we left she treated us like family. Showed us the Mekong Delta secrets only a local would know and welcomed us into her home located in a remote village on the shores of the river. On the first day we floated down the Mekong in her dad's boat and visited the local market to source ingredients for dinner. Then heading back to her place to rest and prepare an amazing home made meal. It can't get more authentic! The next morning we headed to the floating markets for breakfast. Susan seems to know where the best produce is and will treat you to some delicious food! There are also other interesting delights she showed us, but I can't give everything away. If you want to experience the real Vietnam then I highly recommend this tour. We loved every moment - thank you Susan!

We got our tour set up through Ms. Ha (Than Ha Guesthouse) and Joy picked us up at 5am and walked us to the doc where our boat and driver were waiting. Joy was fantastic, she spoke great English and knew so much about the city, the culture, the delta, food and plants that grew there. We first went to one cai rang market, it was very busy and full of farmers and merchants from all over, the fresh produce was amazing. The sunrise while we were on the water was incredible. Then you tour a small family owned noodle factory, take a walk through the country side and have lunch at a great local spot, see another smaller floating market and then journey home. It is definitely worth the early morning wake up. Our tour lasted until about 1pm.

We just did the tour with Susan. Just as what many others have said, the tour was very unique and can't be compared to tours by other major operators. It is highly personalized and enabled us to experience local Vietnamese life in Mekong. The floating market is a lot different to those in Thailand -- With Cho Not being a lot less commercialized. It's interesting to see small fruit boats procure from big boats.

Another highlight is the homestay. She showed us how to prepare various local dishes.

We went to the tour trip with Susan Bui during our stay in Mekong. The trip was highly organized and worth the money. We were picked up by our guide Tam in our guesthouse and brought to the pier. It was our best tour during our stay in Vietnam. All Susan's guides speak English and will give you the great background info not just about the local Mekong life but also about Vietnam in general. Our 7hrs tour contained the visit of the floating markets as well as visits to noodle factory and local village. at the very end we were floating around the small channels accross Mekong river. Whole day we were feeded with fruits, snacks. We had breakfast at the local floating restaurant. If you're in Mekong delta and want to have the best experience from floating markets, don't book tours on the pier but book it with Susan.

If you explore the Mekong, you have to do it by boat and go to the floating markets. Early start but it's certainly worth it. You'll see heaps and is an amazing cultural experience.
