The Hotel Villa Bojana is a great hotel located around a 10 minute walk from the sea front in Budva.

The staff are very friendly and on arrival they sat us down with a complimentary drink and gave us tips on things to do in Budva.

The room, although small had a nice balcony and was air-conditioned, the only downside was that some of the glasses we drank out of didn't get cleaned which would've been helpful. Also the fridge didn't work.

The pool area was nice and shaded and was clean, even in July it was never too busy.

The biggest downside was the breakfast which was very oily at times, but perhaps the reason I didn't like it was that it was primarily geared towards a Russian rather then western tastes.

If you want to relax in a peaceful place and have a real vacation, enjoy great domestic food with grapes hanging above your head (which you can eat in August) - this is your place! Everything is perfect...

Great welcome, excellent room, good breakfasts and a pleasant evening meal. The pool is small and in shadow for much of the day, but still a good place to lounge with a book. The only downside is a bit of a trudge through car parks and across busy roads to the seafront / old town - only about 15 minutes, but it can get repetitive over a few days. For us though it was a compromise worth making and we'd happily recommend Villa Bojana.

+
Attentive service
Clean pool
Nice location near bus station and a few minutes away from the main tourist areas.
Spacious, clean and functional rooms.
Cheap.
Breakfast was full of interesting local specialities as well as a decent amount of healthy food (not common in tourist areas of Montenegro).
-
Only minor things like a bit too few lounging chairs and temporary problems with WiFi.

When we checked in, Danilo greeted us, guided us where to park, and brought us into the lobby outdoor patio area. We were given glasses of wine, and allowed to relax (which was great as we had a long day of travel and sightseeing from the north. The room was basic, but very clean. The bathroom was nice, except that the shower did not have a curtain (which we made the recommendation to Danilo that it would be a plus for American travelers to have a curtain - we were there August 2016). He was very helpful with getting us a taxi and guiding us on rates (and was very compassionate when we told him of a negative experience we had with a taxi driver). He also had us sample some of their goat cheese (which was fabulous!). We used this as a base for two nights. Rented a boat with captain to explore the coast and Kotor Bay. Breakfast was awesome! Got to try local items, and plenty of options. All to be enjoyed in the lovely patio with flowers and vines surrounding us. There was a pretty pool on site, unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy it. All in all had a great time at Villa Bojana and in Budva. Thank you to Danilo and his family (better a late review than never!).

One more post note - I had originally booked for 4 nights. Our plans changed last minute, and we needed to shorten our stay to 2 nights. Danilo very graciously allowed us a change, but given they have a 3 night minimum, we did have to pay for one extra night than we stayed. Very appreciative of his flexibility.
