Rocky point could do with a facelift. If you are the sort of person who minds about a cracked tile in the bathroom or a shabby towel step away now. If you can handle that then get there quickly before someone decides to carry out the renovation and double the prices. This is the most enchanting place, set in beautiful gardens atop the most awesome beach. Peacocks stroll around the grass and life slows almost to a standstill. The restaurant is placed to catch the breeze and overlooks swaying palm trees. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful and dinner is available. The bungalows are at the end of a small lane so very quiet and peaceful. Don't expect to punch the clock, Rocky Point marches to its own drum.

Room tip: Bungalow 1 is close to everything.

Amazingly peaceful location on a secluded rocky beach and a just a short walk around the rocks to goyambokka beach. The proprerty has a good covering of palm trees, tropical plants and wildlife with a few cabanas with a few lines of cabins / cottages. The vibe here is very chilled out – staff are friendly but not overly easy to get a hold of. The property could do with a little more TLC – it has a huge potential but is a tad run down – we were fine with this though, considering your paying 40-50 US dollars a night for the location and tranquillity – in our eyes it was great. We had one dinner here – it was delicious ! it took about an hour to come out – but with the view from the restaurant we weren’t complaining ; and new it was of course getting made fresh.

We have loved this place from the moment that we arrived. The bungalows are set in a beautiful tropical garden, overlooking a quaint bay which is perfect for snorkeling. In short is absolute paradise. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is also incredible!

We initially spent 3 days but missed it so much after traveling in land that we came back for another week!

The rooms were very spacious and had the bare essentials that you would expect. However don't let the name fool you as our bungalow was on a different section to the main hotel and away from the beach (we were a few minutes stroll from the main beach front area).

If you're up for authentic seafood dinning with a twist, we skipped the hotel restaurant and headed down to the beach for a more local experience up a bamboo lander. It was a beautiful candle lit meal under the stars and as we were a group of 7 we took the entire loft to ourselves. The fish was incredibly fresh and we were surprised at how little our seafood feast cost. A must try!!

Room tip: Make sure you specify a room that is on the beach front
