We only stayed 3 nights and then we went to Costa Rica. The cabin was very clean and we loved sitting out on the deck at night. Jack is tops when it comes to customer service! He really takes care of his customers whether it's calling a cab or giving advice on how much you should pay for services, for example the water taxi.Jack seems to really enjoy making breakfast for his customers. It's a nice setting and you can't beat a homemade breakfast.

We spent a lot of time walking the streets and just taking in the surroundings. While we were disappointed how dirty Bocus Del Toro is, we always felt safe there. One night we just walked around the city. People just seemed to be sitting out enjoying the weather.

Below I am only giving the location a 3 due to how dirty we thought the surrounding area was. To be fair, Jack's property was very clean but in general, the island is dirty.

I would not hesitate to go here again.

Room Tip: I don't think you can really get a bad room here. All of the cabins appeared to be the same but...

Stayed 4 nights at koko resort. We had an amazing time. We stayed in the palm cabina on the dock. Jack and his wife treats you like familiy. Jack's breakfast i excellent never the same one. They are also great at giving advice in what aktivities you can do on and off the island. Best places to eat el pescado (great fish in curry coco) and gringos ( if one likes mexicansk food). For diving go to la buga!!!

We went for Panamanian "Fiestas Patrias" and it was the GREATEST experience! We rented 4 cabins and one apartment to accomodate a a BIG family! We loved watching sunsets and sunrises by the common deck. We did happy hours and even had our tour boat pick us up right there by our cabins! The owners were the best hostesses! The breakfast were top of the line and homemade. I would recommend this resort to anyone. Enjoy your stay!

We stayed here for one night at the end of our vacation to Bocas. The owners are a cute retired couple from the US. They showed us to our room which was a 2 level cute little dutch style house on the water. Our place was clean, quaint and charming. We walked to the store to get food to cook our meal. It is true cultural immersion here...not a luxury 5 star resort if you want that don't bother staying here. If what you're looking for is culture, nice people, and a charming room this is your place. Only down side we would say is on Sunday night the Indian bar plays loud music with far too much base and it can be heard from our room. We closed the windows put the AC on & that helped. The beds were comfy and clean. The AM breakfast is included and is "Jack's Special" "no recipe here" he just uses what ever he has and trust us it was delicious.

Room Tip: for more peace & quiet ask for the rooms at the end of the pier...(away from the bar music)

This review is a year late... (we stayed here in Nov of 2010), but I finally decided to stop being lazy and put in my 2 cents. It was Trip Advisor after all that led me to this great place in the first place.

I'm speaking for everyone in my group when I say we LOVED the place. Its such a fantastic, chill setting. Jack and Lee are incredible hosts, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable! Its not hard to get to the main drag, and its great to be able to get away from it when you want.

I have travelled a fair amount, and come across some great places to stay. This is one of my favourite discoveries so far! A true gem!
