Bad, humid, noisy room, enormous heavy key with no view and expensive for what it was, 40$? next day had a look around and found a 15$ per night hotel 100m away with aircon, lots of light, crisp bedsheets, twice the size of room and king bed... I do recommend eating and drinking there because it is very nice, great staff (privately administered but would not recommend the hotel to travelers under 40years old... unless it changes hands.

We stayed here for a week while working on a property deal. The hotel is far enough way from downtown that it is quiet but close enough that its just a short walk to the main commercial area. Bocas Town is pretty small so everything is an easy walk. Claudio, the owner is great and so is his restaurant staff. You feel much more like a house guest than a customer. The room was clean and comfortable and had eveything we needed, including Wi-fi. A lot of local expats stop at the restaurant or use the dock. The food is excellent and the prices reasonable. Rachelle is a superb cook and fun to talk with. We are headed back an plan to stay here again. Thanks for the great stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Angela in late august. Since the season was a little low they upgraded us to a better room and we absolutely felt right at home. The staff is incredible friendly and we found ourselves chatting a lot with them. The food at the restaurant is great - as a lot of the ingredients are organically grown at a farm in a different location and they even took a special request one morning for our breakfast which is complementary of the house. The owner Don Claudio is a gem of a person and I only regret that I didn't have more of a chance to chat with him.
We have already started talking about going back with family.

Thanks for such an amazing experience and good luck with the farm!

Room Tip: Our room number 7 was perfect - not noisy with a fridge and a great corner location.

We didn't stay here but had a few meals here due to the excellent reviews. We stayed out of town at playa tortuga but would recommend this place based on location, cleanliness, and discussions with other travelers we met at lunch. Good value- not super cheap backpacker hostel, but way less expensive than the outlying hotels. Right at the edge of town so still quiet but you save on taxis and bike rentals when accessing tours, boat trips etc.

I'm so happy that I choose Hotel Angela for my first stay in Bocas del Toro. We felt welcome from the first moment we reached the hotel and had fun the entire time. Breakfast was great every morning with the all you can eat bananas in the restaurant. Also enjoyed the mojitos made by Wendy and Raquel. Their company made my stay in Bocas even better. Wish I had more time to stay!
