For the area, this price range is considered a budget option so don't expect anything too great. But, given the competition and given the location, this is the best of the few places we walked in to. The service was pretty great and staff was friendly. The rooms and sheets were clean and the rooms were pretty spacious. You'll have to pay more for a room that has natural light but it may be worth it. They have free internet in the lobby.

Rooms range from INR 750 - 1000. Haggle for the price. I believe you have to spend in this range to get a half-decent place in Pahar Ganj.

This hotel is not a bad choice, given the limitations of Pahar Ganj lodgings. I like room 106 but some of the other rooms have a better shower. There is cable tv with a small number of English channels.

You will have to put up with the reeking garbage storage facility just at the turnoff to the hotel.

The lobby is comfortable but noisy so you can't really get any work done on the guest computer. WI-FI WORKS ONLY IN THE LOBBY, contrary to hotel claims. The lobby is not professionally managed by the hotel's Punjabi owners and is very noisy so you may find it difficult to get anything done on your laptop while sitting there.

Don't order room service for anything but bottled water. The kitchen area would be a joke were it not so disgusting, as you will see if you check it out on the top floor. You won't even order toast or tea if you know what's good for you.

Most of the staff are congenial and friendly. I recommend tipping 10 or 20 rupees for their service as their wages are extremely low and such a tip represents only pennies to us.

Room Tip: Haggle for the price of the room. Rooms near the elevator are smaller and run about 750, while larg...

Friendly service. Staff very helpfull... almost too much (a bit pushy, trying to sell me beer and laundry servce). I arrived in the middle of the night from an international flight, the staff was sleeping on the floor... but i guess this is normal for india ;)

Pros:
Quiet part of Pahar Ganj, located next to a nursery school
Professional service
Clean rooms
Not too far from train station/subway station
Elevator

Cons:
Average value, a bit pricey for what you get
They have a free internet computer, but the staff is on it half the time

The room was very plain with one small window, the linen was stained and damp and there were no top sheets. The bathroom had slow clearing drains so that water from the basin flowed out over the floor. The shower head fell off the wall but was replaced promptly and the water was hot. The staff carried our luggage willingly and there is an elevator. It was noisy at night both from the courtyard, internal building noises and other guests. The sole computer available for guests had no Internet problems. The hotel is located off a very busy, narrow and smelly lane and is one street away from the Main Bazaar which is dirty, crowded and full of traffic tooting horns at you.

My room here was covered in mosquitoes. After killing about 50 mosquitoes in 3 or 4 minutes, I went down to reception and asked if they could do something. He just said..."Oh it's Diwali. They come out for Diwali." I told him that I didn't care and they needed to something about it. He grumbled and sent "the boy". The boy also told me that it was just Diwali and so there were lots of mosquitoes. While this may be a reason, I had no desire to be one big mosquito bite. "The boy" sprayed anti mosquito aerosol that killed a ton of mosquitoes and then at my behest changed the sheets that were now covered in dead mosquitoes. This made it much better, but I still left with a ton of mosquito bites.

Also. The restaurant is a joke. A couple broken chairs and tables covered in mosquitoes. The aim is to sell you room-service.

The pathway to the hotel is also pretty skanky. Even for India.

Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed was ginormous! Room had tv and big bathroom and the overall decor has an Indian feel to it so you don't forget where you are! I was quite sick for a couple of days and the staff really looked after me and helped me get back to health. The location is great just off the main bazaar. They looked after our bags after check out and gave us a good deal on airport taxi. There are lots of cheaper places nearby but this one was my favourite for its gleaming tiled floor and fab sleep quality.

We stayed here for three nights in May, before finding better value elsewhere. The rooms were spacious and clean, with AC and cable TV. We did however need to light incense because the bathroom got a bit stinky (not our doing!). The unfriendly management (one man in particular) were the biggest flaw here.
