Nice hotel, with a local touch. For lovers of oriental style.
Convenient location, near major attractions.
For this price is very reasonable proposal. Suitable for families.

But if you love peace and do not like the hustle and bustle, it is better to choose another hotel.

A very well located hotel, with well appointed rooms. The rooms are little on the smaller side even in the club levels. The housekeeping staff were excellent. The swimming pool needs to be renovated. The Chinese restaurant was fine. They do not allow children in the Japanese restaurant - what a pity (I guess children in that area must be badly behaved). The staff were generally helpful and gave you a bit of good old Indian hospitality.

The hotel is rather plain and dated on the outside, but the inside is a polished gem of marble, elegant furnishing, a large fountain. Staff is wonderful everywhere but main upstairs restaurant where they are rushed and distracted. The Japanese and Indian theme restaurants are super. Rooms not elegant but very comfortable. The hotel is very business oriented with large groups of people hunched over their computers and busily negotiating - leads to a certain loss of elegance. Also understandibly popular with convention and celebration activities leading to congestion, noise and again a certain loss of panache. Overall great

Room Tip: ask for pool facing

Perfect service and wonderful to experience. Everything was 1st class. Too far from the Taj Mahal itself to make the trip, so perhaps I need to stay closer to the sights next time. I would recommend that you perhaps set aside a day to see something of Delhi, as it really is a beautiful city. Laid out by Edward Lutyens and not at all what I expected.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a Club Room if your budget allows. The extras are well worth it.

The hotel has an excellent location and helpful staff in housekeeping, f &b and fitness centre however the property is old and jaded and therefore feels overpriced at $225 per night plus taxes. I was billed for the room next to mine and it was only discovered 15 minutes after I had checked out.
Within the same range the Taj Palace Hotel offers a much better offering for the business traveller.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the lifts and on higher floors are better.Club floors are more expensive but offer f...

Room Tip: Get upgraded if you can-gives a personal and fine service
