Pro's - Good Location, Ample parking space, Polite and courteous front desk, Room cleanliness - OK, Temp in the non Ac room - cool in the month of April, happy that we did not book the A/c room

Cons -
1) Food: No restaurant have to go to the adjacent Mayura Hoysala Heritage hotel located in the same compound where the cost of a single Roti is Rs.30 A decent lunch for a family of 4 (2A & 2 C) ended up in Rs 800! So all the money you saved by booking a budget hotel is gone. For food I would recommend Hotel Guru walking distance just opposite the Mayura! Good food and much economic than the Mayura Hoysala.
2) Soap - No soap provided and worse there are no shops selling soaps nearby which makes things worse. We reached the hotel after a tiring tour of the zoo and garden - then realized that we did not carry soap... so went soap-hunting at 9 pm (sadly google maps cant help you with the soap location) finally got it at a pan shop some 1 km from the hotel else you can get it at the More supermarket. So carry soap to save yourself from the trouble

What can be improved in the room - Please replace the unclean water jug. I do not think at this day and age anyone would drink water from the pre-filled jug available in the room. We did not touch the water and believe that the water would not be changed for the next visitors too - even if it is changed that chances of drinking it is zero. Instead please replace the jug with a bottle of packaged drinking water - it's just Rs 15. Also should provide a soap if not a towel. I think a double room which is charged Rs 900 should be provided with a bottle of water and a sample soap which costs rs 5

Firstly this review is all about Hotel Mayura Yatri Niwas and not about Mayura Hoysala which is adjacent. It was a 2 day trip with one night stay. Accessibility wise very near to Mysore railway station. Ample space for Car Parking, Kind staff. Rooms and ambience were maintained tidy. Worth for what you pay. Hot water comes only between 06:30 AM to 08:30 AM. For food, we felt a bit expensive. better choice would be a place just opposite to this guest house, its walk-able. One thing which i dont like was, the helpers are really behind you or chasing you badly for the tips. The reception staff were very kind and accommodating.. Kindly book in advance through KSTDC online. In short perfect place for a family stay. And remember, for a trip to a tourist destination like mysore you would only use this guest house for a good nap at night as you would be most of the time visiting places in and around. So if you are cost conscious and need worth for what you pay. Go for it. Wishing a happy stay here.

Room tip: Noisy, as it is adjacent to the road.

I have booked room of 8 beds for our family of 6 people. When checked in both toilets were not working. I complained to manager but staff member was not listing to manager. I requested manager to change my room, initially he offered a room with 4 beds, I asked him to give another room as well.
So finally, we got two rooms with bathrooms in working condition.
Rest all things were good, restaurant is there with good food.
Overall cleanness is there in the hotel, other than initial hassle rest all things were good. It is having a beautiful lawn to sit with family and is located in the centre of city.

Room tip: please check toilets before taking the room, rest all things are good.

visited at Christmas Holidays. Room space n cleaniness took all the tiredness away, would recommend for family stay , ours was 4 beded room and cost was 1500/- which was worth every penny. we checked in late in afternoon.Hot water was available.

Room Service is not available. Got only 2 towels for family room of 4 !!. You have to go to neighbouring hotel for bed tea/coffee.

They hv food just near to other annexe but on opposite side of the road a big mall n Mc dee kind of shops were there for children. Nice location near Railway station. Veg food available at adjoining hotel. Good but little expensive option for pure veg food available at opposite restaurant across road.
