We visited this place on 25th March. We ordered South Indian Thali.

We were under the impression that its an unlimited dish. But we were surprised it was fixed quantity thali.

Even items like Sambhar was not inclusive in the price. We couldn't imagine an item like Sambhar in South Indian restaurant not served with thali.

There are plenty of restaurants near Matunga railway station serving much better thali with unlimited quantities and better taste at almost HALF the price.

This is a subsidiary of Malgudi or vice versa, whatever, the food here is consistent, especially, tried their Steamed Rice Idli & it's the same at all of the Malgudi joints as well as here.

The ambience is also excellent and the best is they have no restrictions on you savoring on their chutneys, which is rare in any restaurants around the city.

We have tried various South Indian snacks here from Idli to Dosa to their masala tea & filter coffee and each of these dishes have made us visit several times.

Had visited the Banana leaf restaurant in Versova some time back.

This is a popular place for South Indian tiffin snacks and people can be seen waiting outside the restaurant for their turn on weekends and holidays.

Loved the Upma and dosa variety on offer here. Curd rice and Bisibela Bhargava were amazing too. Ok
