This Hotel was just fantastic! The rooms were exceptionally clean, service was impeccable, and breakfast was amazing. I've never had service as I did at this Hotel. They actually learn your name, know your room #, and pay attention to "YOU". I was sitting in the lobby before leaving, I had gotten a cold and wasn't feeling so great. A gentleman walked over and offered to bring me some hot tea with honey to ease my coughing. I don't even get that kind of service at home :). The only thing that didn’t quite hit the mark, is the surroundings. The view from my room wasn’t the best, looking at the service area for the pool, but nothing a quick trip in to the city can’t cure. There really isn’t anything within walking distance and the area isn’t much to look at. Overall, the experience was great!

I have stayed at the Trident Bandra Kurla on about 5 occasions since it opened. Every visit has been near perfect. Never a room with faulty lights or faulty plumbing. Service never too slow or too in your face. The food is always good and the Maya restaurant serves the best Indian fish I have ever eaten. Each visit is slightly different as they try to have a theme going of some sort. They gym is very large (for a hotel) with new Life Fitness kit and right by the swimming pool and showers. Any complaints, well at the moment construction is taking place in front and behind, this doesnt bother me as most Mumbai hotels have this to some extent. The pool is only in the sun in the morning and early afternoon, problem if your working is you get back and fancy a few rays and a swim and its in the shade. Yes minor and that's the point its hard to criticise. They also operate a no tips policy which means you dont feel you shoud tip for moving bags or just doing their jobs.

I was recently booked into the Trident by a client and spent 11 nights there. Normally the prospect of 11 nights in the same hotel is...well...dispiriting, but this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had for some time.

True, the hotel is located in a bit of a wasteland. Apparently this whole Bandra area comprised slums that have been cleared by the Government which has then provided incentives to business to move there and build. To that end you'll find yourself surrounded by building sites and emerging towers of glass and concrete. You'll even overlook the US Embassy from some rooms!

Don't be put off by this. You will find yourself well outside old Mumbai, but it's easy enough to get there to explore the sights and get a feel for old India. Here you'll be in a great sized room, furnished in wood, marble and light colours, wide windows, heaps of light and every modern convenience you could want. Great bathroom with shower, bath and vanity. The rooms have motorised curtains and blinds, good desk and working facilities, great lighting and, very importantly, a really comfortable bed and great airconditioning system.

Everything feels new, the maintenance levels are incredibly high, the food is really good and offers not only great variety, but also good quality. The in-house restaurants are great, especially Maya, the hotel car service efficient and cost effective, rooms beautifully serviced, bowls of fruit in the rooms - the list goes on and on. The Health Club/Gym is well equipped and there is enough gear to cope with peak periods and there is usually a trainer there to help if you need it. The negative edge pool is a landscaping triumph, although being quite new, there are no trees yet shading it on a hot Mumbai day. There is even a spa which I did use a couple of times, and that was fine. After a hard day at work, this is truly an oasis.

OK, you can tell I enjoyed this experience, but let me share with you the key ingredient that underpins the real enjoyment. It's the people who work there! They are great. I have been lucky enough to spend time on business in may cities and in many hotels. The Trident stands apart through its people. Obviously carefully recruited and trained, they are arch professionals focused on making sure you enjoy every experience in the hotel. They are friendly without being intrusive, they go to the trouble to learn your name, they look for ways to help and make your stay most enjoyable. They succeed! The service here is second to none, so don't be put off by earlier statements about location. Give the Trident team an opportunity to prove my claims. You won't regret it!

Stay for 3 nights at Trident, breakfast was good, but not too many choices, mostly the hotel was business hotel, saw many foreigners with suits having breakfast there. the room was good, but i got not so good view. The services was good. The only thing was when we entered the room, i can feel dust at the room by snitching. The fruit compliment was not yet refreshed, got bad orange with apple but after i called, they change it and i told them that i only want orange everyday, they just did it for me. And since it was at the Bandra Kurla Complex, the nearest mall is about 20 minutes. Not so many things surround.

I visited for a conference and was surprised by the attention to detail at every moment of my stay. I asked how many staff worked at the hotel and was told "700"; for this reason, I was constantly pampered. Perhaps the best hotel I have had the pleasure to stay at.
I normally spurn hotel restaurants but the Maya Restaurant had excellent food with a chef who came out and recommended items that each of the three of us would like. Chicken in a silky coconut curry sauce, 'paneer' (cheese' in a spinach sauce), etc at just the right 'heat' level to satisfy our varying tastes.
The location is in a suburb so that would be the one factor that would need to be considered if you were not aiming for this district in particular.

This is not a bargain hotel, but it's worth the splurge. The rooms are lovely, and the maids don't miss a thing. I had a single flower in my room in a glass of water, and once the maid came through the room it was placed in a bud vase and there was also a whole bouquet of fresh flowers! Meals are quite good, with a great breakfast buffet and good service. Beautiful pool and an exceptional gym with a trainer there full-time to help you and make sure you always have a bottle of water and a fresh towel.

Beware - meals can be quite pricey if you have several courses. The view from my room was of the pool and the new US Consulate compound.
