The White Owl has made its mark on the city’s microbrewery scene with its freshly brewed artisanal range of craft beers. This is essentially a place for beer lovers and they have a well curated menu to make your experience worthwhile. Their bar menu also includes shots, sangria, cocktails and mocktails. Location of the restaurant at One Indiabulls Center, Lower Parel makes it a convenient haunt for the people working at Corporate offices in the area. The dimly lit ambiance with exposed brick walls and not too loud music makes a perfect setting for letting your hair down at the end of a tiring day. For the weekends, you can enjoy a leisurely brunch with their special weekend brunch menu, as we did.
Enjoyed the following from their bar menu:
Dictateur – Red wine sangria – Red wine and triple sec with diced apple, orange and pear
Spark – Belgian Witbier with a moderate citrus aroma and light body
Ace – French Apple Cider with a nice apple and champagne flavor
Bon Bon – Amber Ale with a mild cinnamon and caramel flavor
Torpedo – American Pale ale with a strong citrus flavor
As for the grub, ordered the following from their weekend brunch menu
Napolitano style grilled chicken meatballs served with herbed mashed potatoes and crusty bread
Mediterranean grilled vegetable lasagna
Spicy Chicken Sausage Omelette
Chilli and Cheese Omelette
Nutella and Mascarpone Crepes
Toffee Banana and Nougat Crepes
Service was warm and helpful. Staff has sufficient knowledge about the menu. This is a place I’d definitely like to go back to for more foodie experiences.

Staying one step ahead of the competition in the hypercompetitive restaurant industry requires more than simply tinkering with the menu. Just serving good food doesn't do much good if the customers don't stay there very long - or never even walk through the door in the first place. Setting the right mood, or ambiance, plays an important role in customer satisfaction as well as customer retention. The White Owl - Brewery & Bistro doesn't fail to give you one of the finest experiences and does make you feel special.

Located inside India Bulls tower, it's tricky finding this place. But once you find it, trust me you are going to enter into a different world altogether with amazing beer all around (if you are a beer - person). Almost every pub or brewery in the city has rustic wooden interiors to remind you of an old English tavern, this one has a black theme with dim and soothing yellow lights with mirrored corner walls, which is a brilliant idea so as to create an illusion of infinite space, though this restaurant has a seating which is already quite spacious. And not to mention that their USP is their own brewed beer !

I absolutely loved the fact that they gave taster trays (which is not chargeable) of different types of beer to their customers.

◆ what I had -

● Mocktails :

~ Mel's cup (recommended) - watermelon and musk melon based. The watermelon and musk melon both were fresh. Loved how the overall combination tasted. Both the fruits complemented each other perfectly and blended with the palate well.
~ House ginger lemonade - It was refreshing. Had the right amount of ginger and lemon. Tangy and perfectly citrusy.

● Coffee :

~ Cafe Latte - Just like the conventional latte. No complaints !

● Starters :

~ House Techa Fries (recommended) - Perfectly crispy and one of their best starters served with 3 different types of dips. One was mayonnaise based, second one was jalapeño-ish cheese dip and the third was chilli sauce based.
~ Jalapeño and cheese poppers (recommended) - It had emmental, cheddar and mozzarella cheese served with garlic aioli. A nice dish, presented really well.
~ Corn and Potato croquettes - It consisted of chopped jalapeño bits and cheddar cheese served with Romesco (nut and red pepper based) sauce. The sauce was really tasty and had a unique flavour. Loved how it gave that punch of flavor to the already delicious croquettes.
~ Chef's gourmet popcorn - It had parmesan cheese, chives and black pepper. Really appreciate the twist that the chef brought to this popcorn recipe. However, with time they become chewy and soft which is a disappointment and hence I'd recommend to have this dish as quickly as possible.

● Salad :
~ Citrus and roasted Hazelnut - One of the few dressings I have neen able to enjoy without digestive issues is Balsamic vinegar. This salad is made using mixed greens, walnut bits with Balsamic reduction. The dressing is of not-so-traditional caper- tahini which together makes for a flavourful creamy salad. Caper-tahini is a slightly sweet, salty dressing that's perfect over warm grains.

● Entrée :

~ House Mac and cheese - Creamy penne pasta cooked to perfection using grana padano and gruyère cheese topped with red chilli served with perfectly toasted bread.
~ Mix Vegetable Enchiladas (recommended) - This was undeniably the star dish. Absolutely loved the sour cream and tomato salsa gravy and the use of sharp cheddar.

● Desserts :

~ White Chocolate Crème Brulee (recommended) topped with candied orange zest - It had a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel that cracked beautifully. This was the star dessert !
~ Craft Beer popsicle (recommended) with butter cookie crumbs - Absolutely fun to have. Loved it !
~ House chocolate Flan - it consisted of espresso and dark chocolate sauce. This was a good dessert.
~ Dark Chocolate Fondant with vanilla icecream - Another great dessert. No complaints !

The overall experience that this restaurant gives you is worth relishing.

Asked for a table and was seated for 40 minutes - no one came up to serve; had to walk out. Shame on the idiots running the place.

Finally I made it to this place. I mean literally. To reach to this place is a bit confusing, if you come walking from Elphinstone Road Station, but if you take an UBER/OLA it directly drops you near the building. It’s located in One Indiabulls, on the ground floor. It’s a brewery, they make their beers fresh in-house and comes in 8 different flavours. How cool is that. Apple Cider was the highlight for me.

Few details:

Food type-Veg and Non Veg

Seating availability – large groups

Cost – a bit heavy on the pocket

Service – pretty quick

Staff – super friendly

Ambiance - lively

Must try – Slow-roast chicken buns, beer-braised chicken tostadas, Chef’s Gourmet Popcorn (specially the chaat style), vada pao poppers, white chocolate crème brulee

Here’s what we tried:

Slow roast chicken buns (pickled cucumber, rice wine, chilli & spring onion oil) - It’s a must try, I loved it.

Beer-braised chicken tostadas (black bean salsa & cilantro crème) - Damn tasty. Do try it.

Jerk Chicken Skewers (fresh red chilli & green onion, tangy mayonnaise) - It was decent enough

Chef’s gourmet Popcorn(parmesan, chives & black pepper, chaat style and fire-cracker) – Chaat style was my favourite

Charred corn and potato croquettes(chopped jalapeno bites & cheddar, romesco sauce) – super tasty. You can stop eating it.

Vada Pao Popper – Who loves Vada Pao? I do. Mini version of Mumbai’s famous Vada Pao. If you are a Vada Pao fan, you will definitely love it. They give meetha, teekha and sukha chutney alongwith finely chopped onions to go with it.

Roasted Mushroom & Caramelised Onion bruschetta (sharp cheddar, thyme & extra virgin olive oil) – It tasted bland, you can give it a pass.

Jalapeno & Cheese Poppers (emmental, cheddar & mozzarella, garlic aioli) – Can’t stop, won’t stop.

Basil Infused Grilled Chicken (mushroom duxulles, roast garlic mash, red wine jus) – I found the chicken a bit chewy and dry, it could have been better.

Sundried tomato & Asparagus Risotto (Mascarpone & parmesan-garlic crumble) – Loved it. It was so flavourful and the cheesy component gives you foodgasms.

White Chocolate Creme Brulee (candies orange zest) – Its a must must must try. It was super yummy. Perfect sugar, the elements gives you a perfect taste.

House Chocolate Flan (espresso, dark chocolate sauce) – If you are a dark chocolate fan, you might like it. I didn’t like it much. I felt the bitter taste was over powering the dessert.

Do visit this place for their in-house brewery and some super tasty delicacies.
