Owner description: Located in Mumbai’s central area, Prabhadevi, this temple is the most revered Lord Ganesh temple not only of Maharashtra but also of India.

The Idol of Ganesha is cute and beautiful. The security guards in the main temple were very helpful. Despite of big crowd they allowed and even helped each devotee to pray (unlike in most of the temple to manage crowd guards do not allow to stop and pray). They even helped my mom to come out of crowd. Useful Tip for first time visitors:
1. No need to buy flowers/ modak from outside. There are many shops inside.
2. They allow you to carry mobile phone. But photography is not allowed. if you are carrying video camera you can deposit in locker.
3. There is VIP pass counter at gate and even flower sellers also offer VIP darshan @ 500/person. But i dont think it is needed. When you go inside , there is one queue for VIP darshan again where they charge Rs.50 per person.

Abode of Lord Ganesha. For tourist who are believers, the visit to this landmark temple gives a spiritual touch to their Mumbai visit. Large no. of devotees throng every day, you may choose time and day to avoid the rush.
you shouldn't be carrying Tabs and Cameras but they provide locker facility. do not leave your foot wear with shop-keepers as they insists, there is a free facility to keep your footwear close to entrance of the shrine.
Do not forget to convey your wish to lord through his favorite "Musak Raj"
