“Welcoming Staff”
Reviewed 12 December 2011

We very much enjoyed our brief stay at Radoli House. The staff, Sanka in particular, was very accommodating and made every effort to make us feel at home. The bedrooms are large, clean, and traditionally decorated. The house itself has many common rooms that are filled with several heritage pieces and lend themselves to visiting and relaxing. We ate at the hotel and enjoyed great dinners and breakfast. As a suggestion, order your meal ahead of time, and staff will let you know when it is ready so you can go to the dining area. We ordered room service for drinks and coffee, and were very pleased with the quick service. Downside was the hard pillows.

We wanted to stay in a heritage property and this certainly met that criteria. The hotel is very tastefully decorated in traditional style. The rooms and bathroom are both large. One negative is the bed is so hard that it was worse than sleeping on the floor and the pillars were like rocks. After 2 days we had a very bad back ache. Another downside was the shower was just attached to the bathroom wall and was like a wet room. This was fine apart from the shower being above the light switch and an electrical socket which i was a little concerned about. The breakfast was mediocre. It was served in a dining room that was a little soleless. The food was good but stick to cereal as omelettes very oily. The hotel is situated about 10 minute driver from the centre of Jaipur. Be warned that the traffic at night can be horrendous so this can take much longer. We were fortunate to have a car and driver with us otherwise you would be a bit stranded as no taxis or rickshaws outside although i'm sure that they would have organised something. The restuarant also shuts at 10pm and after this time you cannot get bottled water so bear this in mind as there are no shops close by. Apart from that the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Pros:
Very nice interior.
Old building, but it was clean.
Bathroom was very clean.

Cons:
The food is not good... and they made us sit for 2 hrs for food. Only once we made the mistake and took hotel food. It's close to one veg restaurant, 'Kahna' (i exactly don't remember the name, but hotel boys know this restaurant)

Tariff was around INR 1500 for ac rooms.

We stayed here for one night as part of a tour of Rajasthan. It was pleasant enough, with a nice balcony, and ok bathroom. The restaurant was a little strange - we ordered our food at reception, then were lead to a room at the top of the building which had a few tables and chairs, lots of wierd ornaments and in which we ate alone (no staff or anything), with the exeption of the television they seemed to had put on just for us. It was pretty late to be fair and the food was really nice.

The rooms were large and tastefully decorated, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also large, entirely green, and had a bathtub, though no shower curtain. The common areas are very pretty as well, and there is a long painted staircase. We didn’t spend much time in the hotel, but the staff was helpful when we needed to have clothes ironed. It was in a quiet part of town, but near an auto stand and not overly far from the center of the city. Please see the pictures attached to this review for more information.
