“Grt food, Nice exp”
Reviewed 27 December 2011

Went to Azzuri bay yesterday(27 Dec'11) with wife to treat her fr her b'day...the entry was all professional with a lady receiving you at the ground floor...She calls up the restaurant to confirm our presence...We had made a reswervation and were happy tht we didn't had to wait...And the Buddha statur impresses big time...We had opted fr Roof top restaurant....the ambience was good and the set up impressive...Our starter was superb(Veg rools, Orange juice)...The Thai main course was grt as I was trying Thai food fr te first time...and to top it up with Fried ice cream was really special...the only negative was tht inspite of it being jst 4-5 tables of customers, ther was hardly any waiter to take orders...everyon ewas running here and there ...our food was served out of kitchne was was lying fr 10 min before being brought to us...complained abt it to the head as the food was cold by then...he was prompt in replacing the orrder and apologised...the staff were courteous bt somehw no one was seen whn needed...But all in all a good exp and worth going again..Certainly one of the bets places in chennai and recommended fr Family, Partner and even business gathering...

“I'll go again :)”
Reviewed 19 December 2011

We visited when this restaurant was relatively new. The setting is great. Open air with a far away view of the traffic moving on the Adyar bridge. They have primarily natural lighting, so you need to be in that mood. Depending on the season, moths and mosquitoes could be a problem as the rest. is only 3 flights up. There's limited indoor seating too.
The menu has Italian and Thai dishes. We ordered the cream of Broccoli soup (I'll go there again just for that), an appetiser on sugarcane skewers (very innovative, recommended), a pizza and a baked lasagna. I found the not just tasty but also flavorful.
The staff was courteous, accomodating and the service speed was decent too.
Prices was slightly on the higher side. You can go on a special occasion :)

“Great Ambience & awesome food”
Reviewed 12 December 2011

The first time i went to Azzuri Bay it was a Chinese restaurant with delicious Chinese . i went back for chinese a few months later and i was told that chinese wasnt their forte anymore and to try the THAI food... : ( ... i have never liked Thai but since we were already there and seeing the relaxed look on my husbands face i decided to give THAI a TRY.)
Started with the TOM KA prawn soup - It was soooo yummm that i changed my mind abt thai from the first sip on.
Sathay for starters - Basil rice with Thai red curry & prawn salt n pepper .... it was very nice indeed. The spice was just perfect . No overdose of lemongrass ( which is normally the case with any thai place) & Chocolate gelato for desert was truly to die for.
Comfortable outdoor seating ( they also have an a/c area), overlooking the adyar bridge & the adyar river.
Very relaxing and a must try !

“One of the best in Chennai”
Reviewed 5 December 2011

Cannot rate it anything below 5 stars beacuse of the amazing variety of food, service, ambience and location. After reading the reviews I thought it might be a good place but once we had our dinner on their roof-top restaurant then came to know that its not just good, its excellent. Simply loved the variety of food offered by Azzuri Bay, thai, italian, indian etc.. Chicken soup (exactly which one - I dont remember) was amazing. Their 4 cheese pizza is a must try. Also had some sort of Chicken wings which was again fabulous. Service is exceptionally good.. My wife loved the cutlery & the crockery of Azzuri Bay. Really good place whether you are going with your family or friends. Plenty of parking space as well. Its a place not worth missing.
