One of my frnd had booked this place for my stay. While I discussed with my frnd/others I was informed that this is the best place in Rajapalayam for stay, but when I entered the hotel i guessed with its appearance that its going to be bad.

It was a very old hotel, they have tried to modify but the hav miserably failed in doing so.

The bed was too hard and you will experience a worst sleep quality.

Service staff where ok, but not satisfactory

Not Recommended.

Please Choose to stay in Madurai, it is just about hour and half drive from here. Stayed at the mini suite, very basic, very noisy air conditioning, hard water stained shower and toilet. Part functioning everything. The other suite they had is pretty similar and had very bad stench so chose the cheaper option. Have stayed at similarly priced hotels before, by far the worst of the lot. Had food at the restaurant couple of times, it is ok. If still have to stay in Rajapalayam this is the best option though.

very nice place to visit in rajapalayam. The rooms could be better as the paint was worn off and the beds were a comfort. The place is serene full of trees and a small ganesha temple in between . Restaurant , bar as well as children play area is appealing too. Food is good & also cheap compare to cities. nice place to visit ayyanar falls.

This is our 2nd trip to this-Comfort Stay Ashoka Hotel located at heart of "The Cotton Town" and close to Rajapalayam Railway Station and few minutes distance by Taxi/Auto from the New Bus stand. As the town is known for cotton business and spinning mills( may be a dozen mills or more in and around the town extended up to 10kms).It is very common for business visitors from all over India and some time business visitors from other countries do visit this town and have short stay.
My memories go back to 1960's where I had dining at the Ashoka Hotel Restaurant as a Child, but then this hotel has undergone modernization and really experienced the most comfortable stay on both the occasions .We(Me and my wife) stayed here once about 2 years ago and recently on 20th April-1N/2D .Prior tele-(91 4563222486) reservation is useful and Mr.Tirupathi at the reception assured me that I come straight and occupy the room and pay the rent in advance at the time of check-in.This most spacious property in this Cotton Town offered me a Double bedded comfortable Room(Air conditioned).
Reasonably maintained room at the corner Ground Floor-a front entrance(like sit out or mini front balcony) and we drove our car straight in front of the Room.So spacious is Parking lot and easily accommodates 15 -18 cars at a time.Lot of moving space in front of our Room-101(Ground Floor) surrounded by lot of trees mostly 'Neem' trees flowering during summer and their pun-chant smell.Bath room is adequate with hot water facility, but cleanliness...wanting may be one has to bear with their understanding (experienced staff but untrained to maintain )which includes non shower bathing arrangement with only water taps for hot/cold water mixer.Plastic Bucket/Mug arrangement to take bath is not uncommon in this water starved town but replacement of worn out dirty buckets/Mug shall be done at regular intervals will give more comfort/confident.Clean white bath towels with a toilet soap is only toiletry you get.Other toiletry and personal care products either you carry or buy from outside
The best part of Ashoka Hotel is undoubtedly the hospitable& helpful nature of staff and the great Food-variety(Veg./Non Veg-North Indian/South Indian)and delicacy. Ashoka Food Park ambiance(attached to Hotel property) is one of the best for all ages.Lot of space/greenery/trees/children's play tools etc.open /airy arranged tables in open but partially covered to Air Conditioned Restaurant too. This Food Park accommodate non resident dinners too with lot of parking space there too.
Our trip is essentially, a temple visit to Srivilliputhur ,a nearby town has a famous temple tower-tallest(adopted by Tamil Nadu Govt.Emblem) dedicated to Lord Vadapathra Sayanar-Andal(ancient) and we could locate this Comfort stay Hotel and had a reasonably good time.
Rajapalayam is also known for special breed "Rajapalayam Dog"

Had recently been to Rajapalayam on a business trip..As i did not want to travel far from client place i decided to stay at Rajapalayam town itself.
Hotel ashoka is the oldest hotel at Rajapalayam. food is good . Service is great too . The rooms could be better as the paint was worn off and the beds were a little hard. The place is serene full of trees and a small ganesha temple in between . Restaurant , bar as well as children play area is appealing too.
Place to visit nearby: Andal Srivilliputtur temple .
