Nice place to spend a couple of days. Nice pool, 10 minutes walk to reach the beach. The room was ok and clean. Good restorant, above all if love music (not me). Breakfast a little "poor". Good SPA. There is a supermarket close to the hotel. Here you can stop a risciò to reach the small village Colva, with many shops and restorant.

Our stay at Joecons was for the third week of our January holiday. Arriving by taxi from Candolim in the north, we entered through the wrought iron gates in to a most impressive garden. The grand entrance to the hotel was stunning. This was to become the best week we have spent in Goa in the last 10 years. We had an executive suite which was extremely spacious and very well maintained. The balcony overlooked the pool. The service and civility offered to us by all members of staff, without exception, was a pleasure. Breakfasts were very good with a wide range of choice. Plenty of pool loungers and other seating and ample shade. The restaurant has a very extensive multi-cuisine menu.
Just one very minor criticism. Wifi is advertised as available in the room, and is also mentioned in the room documentation. This was not the case, and Wifi only accessible in reception, at a fee.

we spent a week at Joecons towards the end of november 2011. we had an amazing time. The hotel room was lovely, very spacious and good air conditioning. The hotel staff were so helpful and always on hand to help or give advice. The best part for us with no doubt was the food. You must meet Mr Khan who is the restaurant manager. He seemed to always be around for breakfast lunch and dinner. he was so welcoming friendly and will always reserve you a table and especially some fresh fish for dinner. Entertainment at night is always fun. If you are looking for a relaxing hotel this is the place. however if your looking for a beach resort the beach is a 5 minute drive or 15 minute walk but is worth the walk which didn't bother us we like a walk.

will look forward to going back soon

Justin and Rachel

Room Tip: all rooms are pool facing so no worries really which room you get.

We went as a family of 3 and really enjoyed our stay.
Do not expect and International Business-type of hotel- or the services that this type of hotel offers. Despite being a "Beach Resort" this hotel is not on the beach! There is, however, a free 5 minute shuttle. The hotel also has a shack on the beach with food, drink and loungers.
The food at hotel was excellent- we love fish and seafood. The restaurant service was very good and they made out toddler feel very welcome and showed genuine warmth.
Service in the restaurant is a little slow- but we could tolerate that. We found the live music a little irritating, but I'm sure others would like it.
Reception staff are helpful, but somewhat uninformed and inefficient. The evening staff appear to be available only for emergencies and fairly unhelpful (despite trying).
The swimming pool was lovely- clean and very low chlorine. Good paddling areas, ideal for kids.
The spa was basic, but once again, very friendly and the treatments were very good. If you are used to 5 star spas, this may not be for you (no tinkly music, incense, gowns or fancy equipment like Vichy showers).
We stayed in a Royal Suite which was a good size, clean and comfortable. The Air con units are a bit outdated and too noisy. The shower was a bit temperamental. Personally, we did not think this room was worth the premium price and if we returned, we would book a regular room. With this room you really seem to be paying for increased size rather than increased comfort.
Highlights: food, friendly staff, toddler friendly pool, "authentic" spa, felt like an Indian experience (rather than an anonymous chain)
Could improve: professionalism and knowledge of reception staff, our room needed an update
Comment: There were an awful lot of Russians- not a criticism, just an observation.

This was the 6th time in 3 years that we went to Goa on holiday. We could not get space in the hotel where we always stay and decided to try this one (seeing that it was close to the one we favour).
* although we arranged for a airport pick-up, nobody came to pick us up and we had to find transport to the hotel ourselves
* the internet was extremely expensive and most of the time we were not able to use it (bad signals), but still had to pay Rs 350 per day per connection - in the other neighbouring hotels, the internet service is free
* breakfast was really not up to standard. Variety was low and the service was poor.
* We booked one room for 2 adults and a child, but had to book another room when we arrived because it was not big enough for the 3 of us;
* The staff struggled to speak English, and we struggled to communicate
* We again arranged at the hotel for a car to take us to the airport on our flight back, and then after confirming serveral times, the driver was 45 minutes late, and we almost missed our flight.

Overall an extremely negative experience. We will surely not make use of this hotel again. There are much better (and cheaper) hotels close by - like the Zuri Retreat.

Room Tip: The DeLux rooms are not big enough to share with kids. Although it is a "double-bed room"...
