First of all, enter the hotel reception area with high ceilings and simple classic decor. and check into the deluxe room, comfy and spacious enough, good for 3 adults, kinda apartment-style, with dining area and kitchen built-in cabinets and a deep sink. And of course, a bathroom with stand-in shower, that has a handy shower head and a wide shower head fixed on the ceiling. Ours was on level 17, high enough to garner a bird's eye view of the Melaka city and its meandering Melaka river, facing the Swiss Garden hotel & residences. The Oaks restaurant where the continental breakfast buffet is served, is big & spacious.
Location wise, accessible with a touch of serenity. Depending on one's pace, its about 20 min walk from Jonker street and Dutch Square area. Or one could take the hotel shuttle there in about 5 to 8 min. There are several cafes and coffee shops, within walking distance, around the hotel, serving Malay, Chinese, Nonya food.
The staff at the Front Office, Concierge and The Oaks restaurant are friendly with a smile and greetings, willing to help the guests cheerfully.
All these simply made our stay there a pleasant and comfortable one.More
