“Beautiful Lobby”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 May 2012

We enjoyed our stay in Mobile. The lobby of this hotel is gorgeous, worth a stay just to see.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are larger, but they are in the new tower. I would have enjoyed staying in the his...

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The rooms were immaculate, linens SOoooOoO dreamy, beautiful bathroom setup with big deep bathtub. Aveda bath products. Rooftop pool. Gym, business center, and one of the most beautiful lobbies in the South. The location is awesome, right downtown. Only drawback: the parking. Any way you slice it, it's going to be $20. It's either $17 with tip for valet, or $20 overnight in the self-park lot next door.

Super attentive, multi-lingual concierge staff who go the extra mile to help you enjoy your visit to Mobile. Really impressive crew there. Highly recommend. AND they take dogs. Not cheap, but worth it for a relaxing night.

The Battle House is a great hotel in the middle of town. It is also very close to the cruise ship ports and you can walk to many food places and bars

The rooms are very nice. There's two sections to the hotel. The battle house and the towers. Both are perfect. The towers are newer and the battle house is closer to the main road. The gym is ver nice and has everything you need. The pool is also really nice with palm trees and a bar. There's a few food options and a bar in the hotel also

Can't go wrong with this hotel for work vacation or before you take a cruise

From the accomodations to the bell hops, this hotel is by far the best hotel we have ever had the pleasure to sleep in. The restaurant food was five star - wish I could vote 10 stars! I have never seen such a well trained and pleasant hotel staff. This hotel is steps away from the Mobile Convention Center and Bienville Park. We took our dog and felt safe walking around downtown to the park for "bathroom breaks" and others exercise visits. Our room was near the elevator so I was concerned about noise. We didn't hear any noise from the elevator, near by rooms or the hallways! There actually two parts to the hotel. We stayed in the "historic" side which was lovely. The bathroom was modern and seemed to be recently renovated. Even though there were multiple events going on throughout (including a wedding and reception) the staff was calm and accomodating.

Room Tip: Determine if you want the historic part of the hotel or the newer part.

While visiting Alabama for the first time, I flew into Huntsville and drove up to Mobile. Arrived downtown and the hotel was very easy to find. It was very elegant and grand. The front desk personnel were very nice and accommodating. Although I booked my stay on line using Marriott points, 1King room, upon check in, I was informed that there were only rooms with 2Queens. The woman checking me in offered to accommodate me by putting me in a room on the concierge level. It was definitely very willing to please. I would recommend this hotel in a minute. I have already spread the word to friends and family.

Room Tip: Stick with Marriott

Massive bedroom and bathroom, very clean, friendly staff, a great place to stay. Our view wasn't very good - 7th floor looking at the roof of some other building, but that's okay. Lobby is gorgeous. Would stay here again.

The Battle House is conveniently located in downtown Mobile. Quick access to Dauphin St. provides good opportunity to enjoy some of the best the town has to offer. The lobby is impressive and the service is friendly. We were given a tower room, so could have been in any high rise hotel, except for the long walk through the traditional part of the hotel to reach the elevators. Overall, while very comfortable, this hotel was impersonal.

Room Tip: Next time I would request a room not in the tower to try and get some charm.
