Accommodations are standard marriott level rooms, no complaints.
Restaurant brunch is awful, bacon left out on buffet had gone bad, never should have been cooked. other items were what I would expect at a low budget diner.

This is always my choice when staying in the Auburn/Opelika area. The accomodations are extremely nice, and the setting is unlike most accomodations as they are in a rural area which provides for a peaceful, quiet environment. The hotel has both an indoor and outdoor pool, however the outdoor pool area is currently being reconstructed to make for what looks to be a new water play area. The staff was very friendly, especially the waitress in the restaurant (Wendy I believe was her name). Her conversation and kindness during breakfast made for a great beginning to the day and exhibited the Southern Hospitality to a tee.
.Overall a very nice stay.

My wife and I were caught on the road as the recient San Francisco/New Orleans playoff was underway. The internet and a good GPS brought us to this property. It is very much secluded and a visiual shock to see a property of this size in a remote area of Alabama. We did not want to watch the game in a motel room so their sports bar was the deciding factor. At check in the clerk suggested a junior suite to have a more comfortable view of the game.
The hotel was spotless, well kept and a very hospitable staff. We enjoyed an excellent sandwich in the sports bar and retired to room with 2 large and comfottable chairs in which to watch the game. Their breakfast buffet was exellent. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. A great nights stay except for the football score!

Room Tip: Junior suites are worth the upgrade cost if you spend time in the room.

I recently stayed at the hotel, but never again. check-in was slow at best, the clerk ignored me for 10 minutes then acted like i was a huge inconvenience, constantly rolling his eyes and huffing. then i get to my room and find trash piled in the corner, the bed looked like my 5 year old made it up, hair in the bathroom, and a wonderful view of the roof and a/c units. when i called down to complain to the desk clerk i was told that they were booked up and i could not be moved to a new room, but the parking lot was empty!!! then i went down to the indoor pool for a quick dip only to find the adjoining jacuzzi was filthy and dirty towels littered everywhere. so i instead went back up to my room to find that a maid was there cleaning but was extremely curt the entire time. later i went to the restaurant, Lakeview Room, for dinner. what a joke!!! I had to hunt down the hostess to get a table, had a ditzy server, Haley was her name i believe, every time i ask her about a wine she would have to go into the kitchen for like 15 minutes only to come back and say that they were out. after dealing with this 3 times i asked for a glass of sweet tea and it was sour. so i settled for a glass of water. then as i was ordering my food i had to go through the same process as the wine until i had to ask what they did have in kitchen because it seemed as if the pantry was bare as well. after another 3o minutes for my food which was undercooked and over seasoned. and when i asked to speak to a manager i was told that she was not there. the only part of my stay that went right was checking out. i will not be returning to this hotel and i recommend that no one else stays here until the management and staff become competent.

Room Tip: stay somewhere else.

I recently stayed there for three days with my wife. I am a Gold Marriott member and feel this property is well below Marriott standards. Service in dining and front desk was terrible. Hot tub was filthy.

Beautiful hotel on a gorgeous Robert Trent Jones golf course. We stay here when we visit my daughter in college. The breakfast buffet is great.

Loved everything about the hotel...close to the golf courses, great large rooms, clean , not overfull with guests and a very good breakfast though the grillroom wasn"t as good for dinner. If on the Robert Trent Jones golf trail, think no further... this is the place to stay. The beds are large and perfect for the tired golfer! The rooms face a wooded space which is soothing to the senses . The shop at the hotel is an added bonus to conveniently buy odds-n -ends like sunblock, water etc. which one may need on the course. AND...the price is really reasonable for such a large room!
