OK Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This is a glass art museum. Costs RMB20. the orientation will tel you what glass art is all about and how it evolved. etc. So you have like different art forms for you to like this. Some finely made glass work is available. i wonder how any pieces were made to get the one perfect piece right. Shows patience, focus and exquisite craftsmanship. Don ot go with Children (small) or teenagers who do not like this. takes an hour to two to go through all exhibits. There is a restaurant also there. All products are very expensive.

Staff at level 1 are rude !!!! Really rude they would shout at you when u are taking photo of the art piece. Level 2 have a wide range of art piece to view but however the staff there are unknowledgeable. In conclusion I would not recommend anyone I know to visit this museum

The museum is small by European standards but contains an interesting display of Chinese glass through the ages. There is a very well stocked museum shop too. We ate at the museum café.. delicious, fresh, organic food. Highly recommended.

But the real treats are Loretta H. Yang's sculptures and the temporary exhibiton of Toots Zynsky's stunning bowls. This exhibition runs until the June 1st. and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I have been collecting Art Glass for 20 years and I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful works. (Taste is of course different from person to person) Yang's sculptures are unbelievably refined and ethereal..top class both in appearance and technique.
The Zynsky exhibition is accompanied by an informative video which you should take the time to see. The bowls are striking, daring and alive and display an incredible talent.

The Liuli China Museum, at least as far as I was able to find out and discover myself, seems to be to promote glass art in China through the introduction of various Chinese and foreign glass artists to a broader public. The day we visited there was an exhibit of very nice French glass, but somehow the depth wasn't there. Possibly this might have been this exhibit, but in general there was very little to guide a non-chinese making the exhibit a little shallow.

Very little to see (despite the two floors). Very few items on display and most of them are not that interesting. The gift shop below was just as interesting, with some nice works. At least it was neither expensive nor crowded.
