this hotel has nice suites and the bed is comfortable the shower was ok and the AC good. But this hotel it getting run down and tired and the service needs great improvement. The smaller rooms are worse the suites are better. This hotel is about 25 minutes from Hongqiao airport.

The rooms are huge, the bathroom is very nice bud the beds are hard and not so comfortable. The breakfast is good and offers some western products.

If you drive to downtown by taxi you have to pay around 40 Rmb at daytime and around 120 rmb in the night.

I was there from August 11th until about the 3rd week of August, 2015. I was in Shanghai for a job interview and to run some fencing camps. The hotel room was HUGE! Kinda a throwback to the 60's with the colors but it was comfortable. The satellite TV kept freezing or shutting off and wireless internet was only in the room (not in lobby or restaurant). The AC worked well but the strange thing that took some getting used to was there was no walls to the bathroom or shower. If you were with someone, going to the toilet was a public event. Fortunately, I was alone so it wasn't an issue. The staff was really friendly, smliey and helpful. Most spoke English (a little) so that was a big help. If you went to the left outside the hotel, it became very Chinese. If you went to the right about 10 minutes walking, it was a very western international area called Lao-wai-jie. Japanese, Italian, Korean and English food places and bars everywhere. It's in the Puxi side of Shanghai where most of the International areas are. It's about an hour away from the PVG Airport by car. Don't attempt driving in Shanghai. You'll know why on your cab ride to the hotel.

this time this hotel was very disappointing i ordered a deluxe room it seemed just like the regular room just on a higher floor. the air condition didn't work when i asked the reception about it they said they didn't open the ac system because the weather wasn't hot enough, the temp in the room was 28 degrees and that is very uncomfortable as you can see on the picture attached.
was this a one time problem or is this hotel just slipping into the Chinese hotel routine of self destruction and carelessness, there are many other good options of hotels in shanghai i wont wait around for them to decide what they want to do when they grow up, I will not return to this hotel and do Not recommend this hotel for others.

The room was enormous but with the bathroom somehow integrated into the bedrooom in an open-plan way. OK if you're travelling on your own but a bit odd if you were sharing.
The carpet along the corridor crunched as you walked along it - sounded like piles of plastic bags under foot.
Breakfast was OK.
Over all not bad but nothing remarkable about this hotel.
