Spent a morning here and really enjoyed it. It is part of a hotel complex, and entry includes access to a range of hot spring pools, a traditional swimming pool, and a nature garden with crocodiles, butterflies and a 'ants' display. It represents awesome value and I would recommend spending at least 4 hours here - our kids loved it and we all enjoyed relaxing in the hot pools. One negative - the food and drink is overpriced and low quality - one of the few bad meals we experienced in CR.

Was a nice way to spend a morning on some fun slides. Is a relatively small complex but was pleasant. Towel hire is $2 pp, and more for a locker.

I didn't stay at the hotel and can only discuss the zip lining. In the past I went zip lining in BC (Canada) and thought it was super boring so I almost didn't do it here. I'm glad that I did because they have carbon cables so it's super fast. The staff helped me fit my go pro to my helmet and were really professional. They have free lockers for your stuff and sell photos after your finish. Bring your bathing suit because you get free access to the hot springs with your admission.

I had much higher expectations of Los Lagos. The room was old and not very clean. I found a centipede in the restroom when I first walked into the room. We called front desk on two different occasions to pick us up from the room, never showed. The grounds are beautiful and Gustavo (bartender) was AWESOME!

We are staying in an inexpensive hotel outside of town, but after a long drive from Quepos to La Fortuna we wanted to take a break and enjoy the hot springs. We decided on Los Lagos based on the reviews of others on Trip Advisor. It was a good value. We paid $15/person (I think young children get a discount, but I have teenagers). That fee gave us free range of the pools and nature areas. There was a small but clean changing area with showers. Towels are available for rent at $2 each, but we had brought our own. There are about 8 different pools, some hot (90 degrees) and others cool. My kids really enjoyed the slides. Like other reviewers, I offer a word of caution...they are super fast, and a few slides dump you into fairly shallow pools. Do not go head first, and be sure to keep your head low as some slides have an overhang. Even though this is high season (Christmas week) the pools were not overly crowded...we were able to move freely and I found a lounge chair once I was tired of soaking. After we were done with the pools, we wandered through a nature area that had a fenced area with crocodiles, a butterfly enclosure, a frog pond, and an ant farm. This was not a luxurious place, but definitely a good value. We had a very pleasant visit of about 3 hours and it was worth the admission fee.
