Our boat captain Helberth recommended Dream Seafood to us for dinner after our sunset cruise. We were warmly greeted by the chef (can't remember his name) and he explained the menu recommendations. We had fantastic fresh seafood that was as tasty as it was beautifully presented to us. Great value for the price. We will be back before we leave Coco.

We arrived early Wednesday evening and were greeted warmly by the chef, Ivan. We ordered a special chicken dish with sumptuous potatoes and vegetables. Since we were the first guests, Ivan gave both of us complimentary glasses of wine, We ate inside to avoid the misquotes and the staff nicely turned on a fan for us. We plan to return soon to this excellent restaurant and try one of their beef dishes.

This restaurant is small and quaint, nestled in a beautiful hidden courtyard. The chef is personable and the food was awesome. I had the filet mignon which I was able to cut literally with a butter knife. No steak knife offered or needed. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, not too crunchy and not limp. You have to try the tuna salad as an appetizer. The tuna steak was perfectly grilled and seasoned over the freshest bed of lettuce tomato and cucumber and homemade basil dressing. It was a wonderful. We ate dinner at 8 restaurants while in Costa Rica, and this restaurant was the best. It's a must try.

This restaurant is hard to find but is well worth the hunt. Dreams is in the corner of a little plaza away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Street in El Coco.
My wife and I got there on a night when there was some sort of celebration in the downtown. Dreams was empty except for Chef Ivan and his young waiter. We were greeted with ENTHUSIASM. Ivan loves to cook and talk about cooking. He explained about his dishes and where the food comes from.
We split his pumpkin soup and a calamari shrimp dish for appetizers...both excellent. Then we shared his tuna in a strawberry sauce mahi-mahi in a subtle garlic sauce. The food was excellent. Even the vegetables were done well. And it was all presented with joy.
The setting is cozy and quiet although I am not sure what it would be like on a normal night. We’ll be back; so, we will find out.
