This by far was the best fish we have ever had. The red snapper was huge, about 18 inches long...just right for two. Fresh vegetables accompanied the fish. We dined with another couple we had just met that day. Everyone enjoyed the ocean waves and breeze. Our server did not speak much English, but fornunatlely, one of our party spoke fluent Spanish and help make a great evening for all.

Thank Richard-Martha

There are a few other more obvious choices more central to the main beach, but if you walk just a bit further you'll find our favorite. A huge menu of delicious, fresh options with generous portions for a reasonable price. Leave the beach before sunset and grab a table and a drink and watch from their deck overlooking the beach and water. As the sun sets, order your dinner and listen to the ocean as darkness sets upon coast. We did exactly that two nights in a row and were not disappointed.

The food was wonderful and the cost reasonable. very much enjoyed the beach area, and the total experience was well worth the time and effort. We are staying at the Andaz Papagallo, but the food at Casita was much better and much more reasonable. Strongly suggest!

After a walk along the playa, we headed here for lunch based on tripadvisor reviews. The pineapple smoothie was perfect on a hot day. We had the shrimp cocktail and jumbo it was! I hadn't seen the dish served with shrimp big enough to be split and pre-loaded with cocktail sauce - yummy. Also had the tomato avocado salad - simple Mix of chopped tomatoes and avocado served in the avocado shell - very refreshing. Also tried the breaded calamari - give it a miss unless you prefer heavily breaded and over cooked.
Of key importance was the clean banjo!
People watching entertainment included watching the reps from local condo developments ambush tourists on the beach with great offers of tour deals combined with the famous 'brief' Intro session to the investment opportunity.
Would definitely Return for the food and the people watching on the beach!

We ate here two nights while spending the week at the neighboring
Villas Sol Resort. Their spiny lobster dinner is awe inspiring, the ceviche is refreshing on a warm evening, and the coconut shrimp was the largest I had ever had. Bravo, Leo and company!
