We ate here the night we arrived in Samara. We were exhausted but dying for our favorite CR dish, cosado. Jardin Marino didn't disappoint. My grouper was fresh & delicious and my husband's steak was cooked perfectly. Nothing fancy but just what we have come to love in Costa Rica.

We went back to Jardin Marino for dinner after having had a great meal there a year ago. Same positive experience with the food, the service and the atmosphere. Casado con pescadore was v good - so much so that I had it again a few days later! Also would recommend the jumbo shrimp with garlic - a bit pricey but well prepared.
Ate here twice for dinner this time around and would definitely go back again!

We ate dinner and lunch here and both were excellent. Great tipical meal, very generous portions! For lunch we had ceviche and salad, both delicious. Service is good.

Not sure it they even have a chef! (Pleaaase read this review before you visit this place).

*** This "soda" charged the double compared to "soda" prices in Costa Rica and food is very bad! ****

> We started with an easy appetizer… “Patacones with beans…” (ANY “soda” at Costa Rica could fail with this dish) but they did it!

5 small pieces of fried plantain without any salt and some beans straight from the can (DON’T you have a microwave!!!???)

> Then the main course… “Chicken a la diabla”, OMG how cheap!!! Small piece of chicken and the sauce was was nacho spicy cheese... not possible!

> I would say that the rice with seafood was not bad (good size portion) but definitely little bit expensive compared to any restaurant in Costa Rica with the same dish

> The kids' menu is decent… we ordered chicken fingers and french fries and I would say this was the only part we can rescue from this visit

Last but not least… NO CREDIT CARDS accepted!!! No way, this is PLAYA SAMARA, we received many foreigners, how this could be possible… CASH ONLY, so… you have to walk to the bank and get some cash, because they do not accept credit/debit cards.

Ate here for lunch on recommendation from our hotel. Chicken Casado was delicious. Good size portions, with fresh salad and veggies.
