This is a basic option. We actually moved to an air con room half way through our stay because the standard room was a little too basic for us. The room was very clean, towels changed daily etc. The breakfast does need to be organised better though. It was very busy whilst we were there and the first 2 days we had to wait 45 minutes for our breakfast which was rather frustrating when people who ordered the same breakfast after us received their breakfast before us! The staff however are very friendly and the hotel is in a good location.

We stayed here for 10 nights and from start to finish the staff were amazing: friendly and helpful whenever we needed any help. The hotel is cleaned from top to bottom daily; they are always dusting and cleaning to make sure everything is well maintained. The pool was an added bonus. Something that we didn't really think we'd use or care about but came in very handy during the hot afternoons after coming back from a walk, bike, trekk, etc... The breakfast was great. Our last morning we had to leave before the breakfast was going to be served so they prepared it for us the night before to eat before we went. They are very generous portions so we ended taking a bunch of fruit for the day. We only ate there other than breakfast once (there are just so many options in PV) and had the best nachos we ever ate. I imagine all the other food there is just as good if not better. We got a room with A/C and were very happy we spent the extra money for it. As others have said, you can hear your neighbors and those hanging around the pool, but it's 'shut down' by 10:00. you can hear the music from the lively night life, but it didn't interfere with our ability to sleep; no more than all the wonderful jungle noises. All the rooms we saw (we peeked in empty rooms to see) looked really nice, especially the ones with a kitchenette. We'd probably splurge for one of those next time if staying for more than a few days. All in all, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay.

Room tip: they all looked nice; if you are used to a colder climate, get one with A/C. We were in a top level end / corner room and had our very own bathroom window tree sloth!

An easy walk from town. Nice and attentive staff. Easy check-in. Comfortable beds and room. TV and AC worked fine. Good WiFi coverage. Nice pool. Good food, reasonable prices in restaurant. Close enough to town but without all the noise.

I stayed 6 nights at Lezard King Hotel, the staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. It is a great location and very close to the beach. The breakfast was the best one I had during my entire trip and the WIFI worked properly everywhere.
I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will definitely be coming back in the future !

Lizard King is great! Bethany and Luis are fun hosts, always eager to help. We have stayed many times over the years, and have witnessed first hand many improvements, including a nice open balcony on the second floor for all guests to lounge around!. You can still stay in a basic room for a fair price, but you can also step it up a few notches and stay in one of the remodeled suites, complete with A/C. Bethany's yummy breakfast is included! I like staying so close to town, you feel safe walking to restaurants and bars at night because it's on the main road, just steps away. The beach is really close, so you can get some sun in the morning and check back into your room to relax after lunch or take a dip in the pool. The local bus takes you everywhere, including all the way to Manzanillo. It has become our home away from home. Can't wait to come back for our visit in 2015!

Room tip: Some have A/C, the newly remodeled suites have kitchens. Ask to see different rooms!
