For what you get we thought our room was a bit overpriced, it would be more reasonable value if breakfast was included in the rate. We've paid less for better rooms in Costa Rica.

Nonetheless, we had a good stay. Room was really clean, everything worked well. Cleaned daily & given fresh towels.

Note to the staff- please don't move things when you clean. Our bags were muddy so we kept them on the floor, only to find all our things moved around & bags on the extra bed dirtying the sheets. We also had trouble finding some of our things (not missing, just misplaced among our things).

We had breakfast at their restaurant which was nice.

We found it noisy early in the mornings from 5am, our room was close to the restaurant.

Good option in Tortuguero but don't expect as good value as other parts of CR!

I've just spent four nights here, I booked three at first but extended as it was so good. The location is great....right on the beach of the roaring Carib. Town is only a five minute walk away but maybe bring rucksacks not wheeled trolleys as tarmac is rare & surfaces uneven. The rooms are basic but kept clean & there are new towels each day. The owner kindly lent us his bikes so we could explore further, which was great. The only downside was that you couldn't make tea or coffee when you wanted as the rooms didn't have machines & the one in the restaurant wasn't there all of the time. But other than that it was great...especially our room which was upstairs & overlooked the roofline, tree tops & beach.

We (two young couples) stayed in one big room (3 beds, one double bed) with private bathroom for two nights. The cabines are located directly at the beach and offer few nice hammocks to chill. We had breakfast there once, which was also good. Since the turtle season was over at this time, we decided to leave Tortuguero one day earlier than planned. The staff has been so nice to give us a 50% discount for our already booked last night. All in all we would go there again and can recommend the place without any doubts.

The hotel is located on the seafront with a good and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms face a central garden. They are cozy and clean and the bathroom is good. The hotel has good breakfast but other meals are not available.

We stayed here last week, and thought the place was pretty well packed with a lot of European tourists and small groups, it was very quiet and peaceful. Rooms are very basic, but my daughter and I spent our time sightseeing so didn't need much.. However, there is WiFi, a pool close by and the beach is only a stone's throw away, though not good for swimming. We did stumble upon baby sea turtles which had just hatched and were heading for the ocean, on our first day. Breakfast not included in rate, but reasonably priced and worth it. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. This place seems to be the go-to spot for travelers and at $36/nite you can't go wrong. Travel light as you'll need to walk a ways to get here, and bring a flashlight for heading out after sunset.

Room Tip: All the rooms were pretty much the same from what I could tell.. Very rustic but comfortable.
