We stayed two nights at the Mango Moon. When we arrived our breath was taken away by the view of the pacific ocean. The hotel is very peaceful, the breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful with organizing a boat tour. We loved our stay at the Mango Moon and hope to be back some day!! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

Room Tip: Do take a room with a view of the pacific ocean, it is worth it!!

We picked this place based on a few reviews and the fact that they have a dog at the hotel most of the time. We stayed in the Sloth Shanty based on some of the pics we found online, but almost all of the rooms have a great view down to the water. It's a small hotel, so the staff knows you and is more than happy to help with any questions or reservations you need to make.

It is a solid hike down to the private beach. It only takes 10-15 min, but it's very steep. It is a great little beach though. It's secluded enough and just hard enough to get to that there likely won't be many other people there. Worth going at least once, but take a drink with you.

The bus is a great, and cheap, way to get to the beaches and the park, so save your money and don't mess with a cab.

If, hopefully when, we come back to Quepos, I'll almost certianly come back to this hotel again.

We also went deep sea fishing with Bluefin Sportfishing and they did a great job.

We recently went to Costa Rica for a week and stopped by to have a couple of drinks at the Mango Moon. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and loved the live music. Anyone visiting the area should definitely stop by for a drink!

This hotel was a great find for us. The setting is gorgeous and includes a great view of the nearby cove and terraces. The small restaurant looks out on the same view and includes enough options that you may not want to leave for dinner. Eating here was one of the pleasures of our stay. We particularly enjoyed the breakfasts. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: We reserved a two bedroom suite for two couples but arrived to find that the second bedroom is only...

Astounding views of Manuel Antonio and Pacific Ocean, combined with friendly, helpful staff, excellent cuisine, and abundant wildlife made this a great place to end our Costa Rican holiday. This is a very small hotel and the rooms are all different; we shared the Iguana Pad with another couple and would suggest a different suite for sharing , since the second bedroom was reached through the first bedroom. Other suites had a separate entrance for each room. We would come back in a flash, though, for all the other positives.

We used MM as our "launching pad" for tours, fishing, golfing and eating! We loved the small feel of the place, comfortable beds, the fact that it was quiet by 9pm or so and a made to order yummy breakfast included in the price. The staff there is A+ and really makes the difference. You are a 10 minute walk or less from a number of restaurants, and a few shops. For those of you taking a cab to the docks to go fishing it is only about a 10 minute cab ride, about $10US.
Happy Hour rocks as well at 2 for 1 from 4-6. Great way to wind up your day.
If/when I head back to Quepos I'll more than likely being staying here again.

Room Tip: Gecko suite is nice - comfortably sleeps 4.
