We just returned from five lovely nights at El Remanso and are already planning another visit. The property itself is just stunning, and the entire staff was friendly, informative, polite, and fun. Our bungalow, La Vainilla, had breathtaking views, plenty of space, and was nicely secluded, which offered us New Yorkers some much desired privacy. Trails throughout the property were the perfect opportunity to enjoy the abundance of wildlife, and a great effort is made by the kitchen to provide meals that were fresh and local, and we loved just about everything.
We had a few hikes with Carolina, who seemed to know everything there is to know about the area and who was just a total delight. We also enjoyed chatting with the two folks in Guest Services (I can't remember their names!) who were so pleasantly attentive and worked to ensure that everyone's needs were met. We were also warmly welcomed by the owners and airport transfers from Edgar were such a great way to bookend our stay as he's such a nice guy.
All in all, we left feeling like we'd found a real gem and that this trip was truly memorable!More
